At the end of the day this is a game where u HAVE to score. If u play your offense on 4v5, it will make very easy to defend on your team. Look at Philly -celtics, PJT couldnt shoot, the celtics locked in embiid and harden on 5v4.

Back injury, athleticism greatly lessened and his confidence is completely shot. Shame people couldn't just appreciate Simmons for the player he was because the guy in this was a great player and one of the most fun and unique players to watch.
honestly just a really sad story of how injuries can erase potential. Him, fultz, and embiid were supposed to be a dynasty but all three of them were too injured to live up to their potential (except embiid but even now his conditioning and health is suspect). i dont think he will but hopefully ben can bounce back eventually. he might be too old now to be afforded/justify a long enough leash for him to figure it out tho

Yes he's bad at free throws and guess what? So is LeBron, so is Giannis and so are many great players. "Oh but he wants out, he's not loyal". So LJ wanted out of Cleveland, of Miami, and same story with Kawhi Leonard, Antony Davis, Kyre, even Kobe who once asked to be traded to the Bulls.
"Oh but he is not clutch, he's afraid of shooting". Conditions may differ, but we have seen even the greatest have bad moments, Lebron had a bad playoffs elimination once, Kobe was trashed by Dallas, Giannis loose badly to Miami, and so on.
He had a bad playoffs series yes, he needs to mature and work on his weaknesses, but this guy is BY FAR above most players. Not everything is about making threes, there are many other aspects of the game and Simons excels at lot of them so just cut the bullshit

Yes, don’t let these people who don’t watch any sort of NBA basketball and listen to the media tell you shit. This guy has the finishing and passing of LeBron plus he’s an inch taller, literally can’t be stopped at the rim. His only downfall is his inability to shoot which I don’t see as a huge problem if he can be a PG and be surrounded by shooters.
He can be like a PG version of Giannis, he doesn’t fit in well with a dominant post player like Embiid. Despite that one stupid pass he made against the hawks in the playoffs he actually had a decent series considering Doc barely called plays for him and had him stand in the paint the whole series. The Hawks still had NO answer for him in transition and he caused havoc on defense. Without Ben that series would have been short with the way hawks were playing.
I hope KD can mentor him and help his shooting. I want the young man to dominate for the nets .
