- Skating flat set up even though I'm more of an anti-rocker guy...
Been thinking of what boot to skate with the 50/50 Balance 2 frame
Paring up the Balance 2 frames with the Roces 5th's, for me, is now my go to

I like the look of these frames but noticed people getting absolutely tossed from wheel bite I'm 40 so may have to get some more bite protection.
Haha, yeah.. it really depends on the wheels you have set up 🤷🏾♂️ 56 or 55mm wheels work really well or bullet shape 58mm wheels. Also, alot of go from skating anti to flat find it hard with most flat frame set ups. Personally, I do love these frames with 56mm wheel set up. Otherwise have alot into iqon ag60, TNEC frame, or gc flt4 if you skate razors sl or rollerblade blank

Like any frames or new skates, it takes a few sessions to get use to them.. to really dail them in 👊🏼

@@ShredCitySkatesKelvW same here!! brandon’s got me thinking/working on my opposite rotation too. Love the setup btw!! I’ve always wanted to try 5th elements & Im riding prime frames rn but I started on OG balance frames with juice blocks.
Those frames do look good, but I've already got a couple lined up... 😬
Did you ever use the fifths stock liners? I've found them the best fit for me, being right at the upper end of the shell size they really allowed me to get my heel right to the back of the skate. They are rather soft, but that combined with the flex of the skate helped me get royales on lock! Someone was saying the insole in the stock liner also makes royales easier, something about the raised bit not filling out the whole sole allowing you to tilt easier. I don't know how true that is, but it definitely works!

Na I didn't even bother with the stock liners as I down sized that skate. tbh, I didnt even try to see of they fit... I'm just a snob 🤣
Yeah I just got to get use to flexing my switch foot, more practice as ot feels ridiculously unnatural.

@@ShredCitySkatesKelvW I downsized as well and honestly found the stock liner the best bet because of the insane heel pocket, it puts my heel right against the back of the shell. 276mm Mondo in the 41/42 shell! I do really like how it looks as well though with the low top and check design.
Next frames I'm going back to the kizer element 60s now I just got the plastic h block. And I've got some JT T60R walls to try on the Prime walls! 😁

wait i want the yuto goto 5th elements but i wanted to turn them into flats. im new to this so would these frames be good for that is what im understanding?
also would i be able to ride 60mm wheels
@@EL_UNIC0RNIO sup bro! yeah man, you should be fine. The roces stock frame is all good for flat set up unless it's the new new models.. they've only just updated their frames on their 2024 skates. You'll need to buy wheels, bearings, and bearing spacers
How would you rate skating flat on the balance 2’s? What size and hardness wheels are you riding? I have a pair and thinking of riding them over my kaltiks. Thanks.
Yeah I rate the balance 2 frames. I prefer them over fluid 5's but that's just me.. I like 58mm at the biggest but 55mm are key but depends on what skates and what kind of skating you do 🤷🏾♂️
I'm rocking the balance 2 on the AG20 cause soulplates are massive!
I do like kaltik tho, but I like the Stealth frames. Rode them for a solid year
