Laura is a fantastic woman. I had the pleasure of knowing her for a few years. Unfortunatly we lost contact when she went to uni. I would love to get in contact with her again.
the first round is that sort of thing (general knowledge) but in the second round thay answer questions on a "specialised subject" which can be pretty much anything they choose
Douglas Adams' work's hilarious &ridiculous. It's enormous fun 2read, &as a consequence EASY 2remember, unlike particle physics (unless you're an intellectual or mathematical genius).Splitting your guts laughing while reading is 1of the EASIEST ways to remember what you've read. When someone gets a high score in a SERIOUS discipline on this program they get my respect, but something like remembering the works of a comic writer &related trivia, I've got 2agree with AreYouKiddinMelol &johnnierah
i don't know why people mark against your comment. perhaps they feel insulted because they tried to read nietzsche and didn't know what he was making perfectly clear. i am in agreement with your comment. trivia is trivia. we must relearn how to think. peace
Oh? I thought she was just a graduate student with an interest in her field. I guess I was wrong. Thanks for clearing that up! How do we escape "having no life?" Should we all leave school after the 7th grade and learn a craft like carpentry or plumbing? Jealousy is a very, very petty thing :)
@AreYouKiddinMelol You can now coin the phrase "It's called MTV," to describe a large amount of Americans, unfortunately. But, that being said America has produced the largest amounts of technology patents currently to date. While the overall population has most definitely reduced in literacy the other side of this equation has surpassed the majority of the planet. Sadly, these facts are leading to an even more class divided America.
Mastermind was a quiz show where the contestant nominated a subject of their own choice.
She's gorgeous and a master of nerd trivia. I'm smitten!!!!!
OMG... I think I'm in LOVE!
Hey! That girl was on the show before. The Lovecraft episode. Man, she's smart.

@privateweasel Did you break her heart? because she seems really sad in the Lovecraft one. Also, where is she from? I can't figure out the accent.
Amazing!!! I thought I was Adams' biggest fan.

@privateweasel what do you mean Partner? In the up close and naked under the sheets brand of partnership? Or did you run a comic shop together?

What was the meaning of the dolphins' message? THROW-AWAY QUESTION! Geez, give her a toughy!
Oh? I thought she was just a graduate student with an interest in her field. I guess I was wrong. Thanks for clearing that up!

is she on facebook?
Is there a limit to how long the question can be? Some of the questions are rather wordy and I wonder if that put her behind.
The host sounds like he's close to cracking up after some of the questions.
Doesn't sound odd to me at all. We South-of-England guys and girls do sound like that y'know. ;)
i thought mastermind did questions on big fancy questions like in university challenge...
shes got nice hair
"She is smart. Not only have I met her, but I had the pleasure of being her partner for three years."
i.e., you gave her the "private weasel" ??

she is good at remembering. maybe she's smart as well. but trivia is no way to measure intelligence.
