    One thing that’s such a turn off/ red flag is when a guy tries to get a pity date from you. It’s when he says “oh you won’t go out with me because you probably think I’m ugly.” “You don’t respond to me because you think I’m annoying.”
    They say this so you feel bad.
    At this point when a guy does this I just agree. “Yeah, I do think your ugly.”

      I have a question about Korean men, I have noticed that that they don't have much body hair, like on their legs, arms, chest... Is this common or do they remove it?

    That "why aren't you texting me" one would probably irritate me. I don't like being on my phone all the time and I work so I'm use to not talking to people all day. I would probably have to talk to the guy if they did that lol

    Dating while I lived in China and South Korea was not for me because I don't like clinginess to begin with. The "why aren't you texting me back?" thing got old fast. And to give you some context, most times not even 5 minutes had gone by *sigh*
    The men living at home topic depends on many variables. I've met men who used the "I'm taking care of my parents" spiel but their parents were perfectly able-bodied so it didn't add up. If there's a plan set (i.e. living with parents for 6 months to save up) it's different, but some people will use that story when they've moved back to their parents for 3+ years.

  • @kimleemoon
    @kimleemoon Год назад +8

    Living with your parents beyond college age is not common in some western countries. In some cultures by age 25 you should have a job, have your own place & be living completely independent of your parents. That’s why it’s seen as a red flag.

    • @frankiefavero1666
      @frankiefavero1666 Год назад +2

      I'm from NZ but I've lived in Australia and the UK. In my experience, in all of those countries, parents expect you to go to university and "flat" or "room" with people your own age. If not, parents will charge you rent/board once you turn 18 (this is true in all 3 countries, when the main language is English in the household and/or the family is "anglo").

    • @RoxanneLavender
      @RoxanneLavender 3 месяца назад

      @@frankiefavero1666 Yeah that's the case in the UK. For people born in the early 1980s and before getting a job and moving out at 16yrs old old was common. I was born in 1988 and one or two of my friends moved out of their family home at 16yrs old, had jobs, and were fully independent at that age. i lived with my mum until i was 24yrs old, and that was seen as bordering on kind of too old to be living at home with the parents. I was so happy to move out though as my mum allowed my prick cousin to move-in with us and he was bullying me, he love-bombed everyone then turned on them, did that to me, like ''oh couz i love you, we're best friends'' etc, then turned everyone in the house against me and bullyed me, pos.

    Not sure about Annie’s first red flag about nationality. I grew up in a black area of Chicago. Literally no Asian people. However, I have always been attracted to Asian men. I don’t think it’s a fetish bc they didn’t have any around them but they are attracted to them. Also, my ex who was Indian only dated black women. It’s just what he’s attracted to. I think we need to be careful to always call something a fetish.

    • @sunnni_
      @sunnni_ Год назад +2

      This!! I am a chicagoan myself and the amount of girls I've met who like Asian men but afraid to say it because they dont want it to be seen as a fetish. I grew up watching asian movies because of my dad and then they started moving into my neighborhood so I generally grew an genuine interest but even I keep it to myself

      @@sunnni_ My brother was older than me and I’m about to tell my age but … lol… Bruce Lee was my first crush because he watched all the movies. I don’t hide my love for Asian culture or my attraction to the men. I am also interested in Latin, Indian, and Turkish culture. I love learning about other people and their cultures. Yes I think Asian men are really attractive and Asian women are beautiful. Is it a fetish? Nope. I’m just attracted to who I’m attracted to. I don’t date but if I did I would date whomever I loved and treats me well. I’m not going oh you’re not Asian so that’s a no for me. 🤣

    And Kelsey, we have motels. We just don’t call them love motels. However, we consider them to be sleazy if the are by the hour or block time motels. We have them. We just don’t call them that.

      And we don’t like to use those motels if at all possible. Most by the hour motels are used for prostitution.

    A guy living with his parents is a red flag, cz stereotypically a guy is living in "hotel Mama", meaning he doesn't become independent, just moves from his monmy to the next female person to take of him. Nobody wants a child as partner.

    Regarding number 1) It's really not that deep, people can like what they like and should not be judged for their 'dating preferences', regardless of where their preference originates from. The fact that you made this video about 'dating red flags' shows that you also have preferences, so in reality you are not much different from the guys/girls who have their own dating preference.
