      - tfw and commenting. I appreciate it. I have a couple of Solo Stoves and I like this one better and it’s half the price

So how long did the pellets last before the fire stopped showing/ when should I refuel to keep it going and not waste pellets let’s say 3 hours

      - The flame went out after about 45 minutes. The firepit was still 1/3 full of pellets which were still piping hot. The next morning, there was basically nothing left. Not even any ash. If you want to keep the flame going, I’d recommend dumping a handful of pellets in every 20-30 minutes. Don’t overdo it or it will snuff your flame out

@@Steve-Goffjust got mine when the fire dies u can use air(I used a electric inflating device)
to breath fuel back into the fire and it roared for around 30 more minutes after that I dosed the pit with water to put out all the burned pellets I’m loving the pit so far

I have a Solo Stove Yukon 2.0 that we love but might pick one of these up for a little pellet burner when they go on sale for $49.

      - they’re nice for what they are. Definitely more for ambiance versus heat. I like that it doesn’t burn for hours

Great video. Size would fit perfect on my outdoor table. I'd love one.
What with the second and third burn it sounds like SpaceX.
Can you buy heat diffusers for these, or cooking utilities?
    👍

      - I had an old grill grate that I cut down to fit on top of it. It’s not huge but you can do 3-4 hot dogs or a single burger

@@Steve-Goff Thanks mate. I bought a grill grate for my large fire pit, so as to get some air underneath the burning wood. Old things like that cost a fortune in the UK, but I was fortunate enough to buy one from a farm shop, selling all sorts of old weird stuff, for just £3.00. I wouldn’t be able to cut one, but you’ve given me a great idea. I could buy a new household metal drain hole cover.
      Cheers 🍻🍔

Appreciate the review but it looked like you didn’t use the solo stove yet for a comparison.

      - The solo stove is a ranger so quite a bit bigger so it wouldn’t be apples to apples comparison. I have used it since the East Oak video. I seriously have almost $500 in the solo stove setup and still need to get the pellet adapter

Wish this had an attachment to use with a wok.

      - there are companies that make small grill grates. I’m not sure how steady it would be to set one on top then put the wok on it. If you went directly on top of the fire pit, you might snuff it out

Use center piece for pellets only

    • @Steve-Goff
      @Steve-Goff  4 месяца назад +1

      - according to east oak, the center piece can be used with pellets or even small sticks. It’s supposed to give you a 3rd burn. I’ve had fires with and without it and honestly can’t tell much of a difference in the flame. It gives you just a few minutes longer burn time without the center column
