just a small correction, rank 1 in Korea =/= best player in the world. Best solo q player at the time? Maybe. Especially with all the match fixing where players are paid to lose because of people betting on high profile figures like Faker or Dopa. It's the reason MANY great korean and chinese players stopped playing korean solo q on their main accounts.
the reason why people argue if he actually got rank 1 on korea or not is because rank 3 is actually the highest you can get nirmally without grinding 24/7, the current rank 1 and 2 in the KR server are chinese pro players that are using “super accounts” which are accounts riot gives to pro players so they don’t have to grind to play top 500 for practice, the issue is that these accounts have super high mmr that basically guarantees you get high rank on that server, the lp gained and lost in these accounts aren’t comparable to that of normal accounts.

Showmaker is currently rank 1 without a super account completely destroying any super account bs people are saying. TF blade is hard coping. He hard grinded when pros were on vacation the instant they comeback winrate tanks from 58 to 54 and he dropped all the way to rank 118. No way anyone thinks "He acTUaLly hIT RaNk 1"
