I installed a sway bar kit on my slash, and I did it a little differently. I put the links on the A Arms first, then slid the sway bars into the links, and then put the shoulder screws on, and then lined everything up, and tightened it all down. You need to line up the sway bars on each side before tightening the shoulder screws down. Great video.
Sway bar should be free on the chassis to allow it to lift the opposite side that your picking up on to work properly. For how tight you have the screws you might as well have just put stiffer shock springs on. And I'm not haggling just trying to be helpful.
Hey man thanks for the info, lost some links on the Platinum and this came in handy on the rebuild. Jut a heads up you don't need so much thread locker on your threads. That stuff goes a looong way. You only really need a dab or drop. Anyways thanks again!
Did you install the longer links on the front sway bar or the rear? I am confused cause the instructions say the short links go on the front but it looks like you put the long one there? Optical illusion perhaps?
Installed them on Traxxas Hoss 4x4 VXL. Great vid and camera shots. Thanks much
Red/Blue thread lock.. potato/potato....
Lol Thank you for taking of ypur time to show us the right way to do this installation! 💪🏽💪🏽
Thank that was a great presentation. Will be getting them for my Slash

great vid thank you - reminder to all - long bars go in the back or your won't have enough play
Great vid. I'll be picking up sway bars, LCG chassis, and nicer shocks/ springs for my slash

Thank you so much for your video much appreciated!
I believe you put the short rods in the rear and the long rods in the front.

You're right man. This dude got them backwards. Good eye
@0:28 all about those multi flav's 👅
Thanks man
Do you know what size grub screws those are, mine are ruined and need new ones?
1.5 mm
How to know its traxxas?..
all the bolts are rusty 😄
You tightend the screws for the swaybar to much now its not workig
So what do sway bars do? Increase the hardness of the shocks?
They make it so the truck stays more level while cornering. It keeps the suspension from rolling too much
Yeah we all know that you get High off of that thread lock. Hey dude it can be cheaper than weed. LOL
Why tha silver
These are a bad design!A sway bar is supposed to lift the the opposite side when cornering. All these do is stiffen the suspension!
Is there a sway bar kit for the 1/16 scale Slash?
Jeff Fleck yes there is but intigy makes them
