Alice, could you perhaps be a bit clearer about what are sources and what's your opinion going forward? It's hard to tell some time and if you are calling out people for making guesses, it's only fair that you are precise on this I reckon.
Its' a storm in a teacup. Sacking an employee who does not "fit in" or has made costly mistakes is not the problem. The problem is two straight defeats.
Sounds like Ashworth wanted to patiently build on long term succes. And the sacking of ten Hag didn’t fit into this vision. Also hiring a new coach with a total different system to force on a group of players who already had issues dealing with the current system is far from an intelligent move. I can understand the departure. Well done Ash, well done…
What are you talking about? Of course she doesn’t know what exactly happened but she is providing a tremendous amount of insight and background on the behind the scenes operations of the club. If you don’t appreciate this kind of excellent, informative journalism (by a fan for fans) and it’s value has gone straight over your head, then maybe you are just too stupid to engage in discussion in public. I’d stop commenting before the whole world knows you have a head full of rocks. How humiliating!
100% agree. We don't know the reason he was sacked but it effectively boils down to those above him believing he is not the right fit or he can't be worked with. Either way you sack him.
Even Sky Sports cannot give the sort of details that you want because they were not there. However it's not rocket science to read between the lines given Ratcliffe's character.
I had to stop after 4.5 mins of the video due to a number of ambiguities surrounding the sacking, making it not worth watching further. Anyway, Thanks Alice.
Ratcliffe probably just did not want to spend money on getting data people. He just wants to cut as much spending as possible. We all know it was not just Ashworth who was the decision maker with whether ETH stayed or left. Ashworth is just a scapegoat for all that went wrong with ETH.
To me, this is the perfect example!! After jumping throup loops to sign him, they still didnt hesitate to sack him.. this should send some chills down the necks of some of these over paid high ego players in our squad!!!
Right so whenever utd sacked ETH alice wanted alonso lol and i thought that she could never say anything more ridiculous until she says in this video that she wanted Michael Edwards from Liverpool to replace ashworth lol absolutely CLUELESS

Then we reappointed him as director of football this past summer. Thankful to have him as our club is in good hands 🙏🏻
Hopefully INEOS will get a top replacement and we can all move forward, maybe there were issues with Ashworth more news will come out next week. If there was tension then a change might have been necessary.

I think we all need to relax about the TH situation. Just because it didn’t work out, doesn’t make the devision to keep TH a bad one.
