@@DoctorMcFarlandStudiosIt bends my mind that seemingly there’s this huge market for e-kits, yet you never see the used live. The Strata especially, makes the best case for that to change, though.
Thanks for the tutorial. We recently bought this for our church and have 4 durmmers. I saw how you "save as" on your NY Maple kit, but once you went in the advance setting, ie. attack, reverb, etc. do you just save as again to keep these settings? We tried to save a kit and can't seem to find it. Thanks in advance.
Once you save a kit it shows up in the Users area. No need to Save As again, just save it to store the updated settings unless you want to save two different instances of the kit. I have this setup at my church and it has sounded great the last month and half of use. I highly recommend to any church looking for a kit to use for worship.
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios I just got the kit, and yes you can. When you click to save a kit or individual piece, there is an option to revert to last saved state.
As far as over all sound its very pleasing to work with. I am using the kit at church and the feedback is very positive from the band and congregation. I highly recommend it. I will do more videos from the drum booth at church going over the setup.
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios awesome! Thank you. It seems E drums are just about getting there. I still play my TD 11 sometimes and believe it or not I got a couple of kits that sounded awesome on it as long as I don’t play any fast tom-tom rolls.
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios THAT is the progress we need! And fully functional hi hats. I’ve heard snare drums and of course Tom Toms that sound like Mic’d acoustic drums from the prime. Literally, two and three dimensional snare drums that sound authentic. I’m happy you’re enjoying it.
Hello, thanks for the video! Is it possible to get multitrack recording from Alesis Strata Prime kit via USB or maybe it saves multiple wav files on internal disk?
You are or I am? I have found that the trigger and crosstalk settings can cause missed hits if the threshold is too high. I have been using this kit the past few months at church and I have it dialed in really well. I will make a video of those settings really soon.
Thx for this . Just got the kit and this has helped alot
Its a great kit for sure.
Thanks so much for taking the time to make this video. Super helpful in my decision on whether yo buy this or not. Really interesting kit!
Glad it was helpful! It’s a fun and great sounding kit to play.

Thanks for the video! Is there a way to “reset” a kit back to stock? Without a full factory reset?
Possibly, I will have to check

Is this the closest you’ve ever played to a Acoustic kit?

The "machine gun" effect can be pretty band on some kits but I have zero issues with that on the Strata Prime. Its pretty amazing.

Hope you can answer this.. i made one user kit and it somehow lowered the sound of my bass drum on all 75 user kits. Do you know how to fix this?
I think the Mixer settings are global but you can change out the elements of the kit per preset. I will look into it more as I am not exactly sure.

there is not USB recording with multi track or internal from what I have seen so far. I will do more testing.
Hello, I have a question, there is a delay, how can I solve it?
you are hearing latency?
@@DoctorMcFarlandStudios I'm trying drum tec pad legible so could there be a delay?
If you using the kit to trigger sounds on a computer you will need to lower the buffer size to around 64 samples.
How do hook to a Amp 12 speaker
