Thanks Jabin. I am an old guy and this is my third smoker that I have just purchased. Because I am old, I use an electric smoker. They have served me well over the years. A Butt is on tonight at 9:45 to smoke all night on this new smoker. Brisket flat will be this coming week. Love your channel. God Bless and stay safe.

Made my first Brisket a few weeks back. Let me tell you. It turned out.... well... I could eat it lol I more or less went in blind doing it and got excited when the meat started to tender up and break down but I almost pulled it too soon thinking it wasn't working. (13 hours in). Needless to say I ended up cutting off ALL The fat, even divided the two slabs because I thought the fat in the middle wasn't normal. So I slapped to two together and smoked it as one. (the horror, I know...)
I made many mistakes but I got the first one out of the way. Now I know so many more things. Let it be said, I make Amazing Wings and Ribs, Candy Salmon, and my fav... Candy smoked Bacon. All that I have failed starting off. My Ribs, where DUST because I had them too high heat and left them too long. My Salmon, mushy.
Point of all the above is this. Just do it. Know that you may fail at your first try or two but don't fear doing Brisket! I held off for years till I pulled the trigger and tried it. It's more simple then you think. Shoot for the the lowest cost cut you can first time. Cost me 35 bucks CND so it wasn't too bad.
Mine was still good overall! Just hyped to try again to see how much better I can do!

It's so true hey, sometimes we just need to try it and learn from our initial mistakes.. My first brisket (still up on the channel) wasn't good haha.. BUT over time you learn tricks from other types of meats that can even cross over into others. I'm glad you didn't give up on those things.. Ribs were my nemesis for the longest time oddly enough. haha

Pretty therapeutic confessing to BBQ sins! I've made so many over the years. Like trying over and over to cook ribs on my tiny Smokey Joe, and trying to convince myself that they were still "pretty good". But, that was then, this is now, as the old saying goes. And I fess up to putting brisket & pork butt in a foiled pan overnight at 170 after 4 hours of smoking instead of hanging in there for the long haul.

Another good video Jabin! I've been smoking briskets for years on the offsets and now at 66, I've moved to the pellet smoker because I can't hang with the younger guys like I used to. LOL! I always enjoy your videos and refer you to my friends and family to get therm more informed too. Please keep the videos coming and keep up the good work my friend!

You know that brisket looks good but ,why on a cheater grill? Wood smoker is the way to go. Cheater smokers take the fun out of the whole experience. (Now thats just me ) And I feel you left to much fat on that. As a Chef at an hotel that trim needs to be better.
