The best part about the trailer is it is an EXACT copy of the book. Like its crazy how everything is exactly how I imagined it in my head, the arena especially!! I have full trust in the director Francis Lawrence! He hit it out of the park for Catching Fire and the Mockingjay films and he will with this too.
No one can adapt a book into a movie better than Francis Lawrence and he has proven that from the start with catching fire and im exited to see this movie
As someone who has read the book, I can say that Peter Dinklage, Viola Davis, and Jason Schwartzman are all PERFECTLY cast. Currently, there is quite literally nobody better in Hollywood to play those roles. Also excited for Snow and Lucy Gray, as well as Sejanus (the kid with the dark curly hair shouting that everyone around him is a monster. He's also a very important character in the story). I'm not quite as familiar with their actors, but they still seem well-cast, and I'm really excited to see what they do with the roles! Also, the 50s-esque aesthetic they went with for the 10th Hunger Games is really cool to see, and fits very well. All in all, I'm super excited for this! I think they made some really great decisions, and we're gonna have a great movie on our hands!
Rachel Zegler is the actress for Lucy Gray, another amazing choice!! She’s a newer actress but she’s rising fast, her breakout role was the new West Side Story (and of course, they had to cast an amazing singer for Lucy). She was also in Shazam and is playing Snow White in the upcoming live action.
The best part of this is...book spoilers i guess...but lucy gray is the girl who wrote the 'hanging tree' song Katniss sings during the revolution. It's a punch to the face for snow.
I'm excited. When I first heard that there was going to be a book, I wasn't too enthused but I think it is better than the original trilogy. It fits right in. There isn't a lot of retconning to make things fit. It just works as a world building book, as a political book and as a romance. Sad to say, I didn't learn my lesson because when I heard that there was going to a movie. Again, I wasn't too enthused. Now with everything I have read and the trailer, I am really looking forward to this. November cannot come soon enough.
lucy gray baird is great grandmother of katniss. also, haymitch abernathy is the winner of 50th hunger games that will go on to be the mentor of katniss and peetah.

That all sounds amazing!!! I’m psyched for this!
Perfectly said! I also hope Clemensia's actress is good. Her whole snake thing is one of the parts in the book I loved.

It’s interesting seeing a reaction from someone who hasn’t read the books! Can’t wait to see if the movie is good and what people think.
Same!!! I’m really hopeful for this thing!!!

oh snap! :)
This is the perfect timing because there’s a huge hunger games renaissance happening right now and it’s became popular again the last month or 2
It’s gonna be huge!
Sejanus: YOU'RE ALL MONSTERS!!!!
I haven’t read the book but this has me IN
Same!!!!! It looks so good!
November's going to be a solid month. Looking forward to returning to this world and also The Marvels!
Movies are back!!!!
Its 60 years ago so Jason Schwartzman is a younger version of his father 😂
I’m psyched
Me too!!! Looks fantastic!

That’s so awesome! I was nervous about the retconning thing so thanks for relieving that for me!!!
The music is sooo good!
Agreed!!! That original theme holds up!!!
In the book, Snow falls in love with Lucy Gray but the part that breaks my heart is that after leaving district 12, he never sees her again 😭

Dang, I may need to read this book because that sounds so interesting!
@@MoviesAreRad yeah, and you will learn how capitol made use of the dead tributes' bodies. small details like that made me invested to the storyline.
@@alpha.a.1119 oh that sounds dark! I'm in!
I actually think Katniss’ ancestor in her father’s side is Maud(e) Ivory, who is able to recall songs after hearing them once.
How can you comment on anything without first reading it?
I don’t understand. I can’t comment on a trailer because I haven’t read the book it’s based on? Is that what you’re saying?
