I would say praise dancing. Also giving and encouraging others...I really enjoy when someone says " I love your earrings or that scarf" and I say here it's yours 😂 They're like nooooo!!?? Im like take it please!! Its a good feeling to shock people with kindess. I dont have a soothing tone or I guess a nice demeanor so people are genuinely shocked when I'm nice I guess because they're expecting something different 😊

Helping others and family dinners and writing letters a phone call instead of a text . Music from back then. Home phone and payphones. Life was so much easier. Now everything is microwave and fast. If you remember Dear Laura then you know the era.☎⏰💌

Exactly, I feel I had a normal and safe upbringing but I don't remember a time where I felt fullfilled and/or exceedingly happy.

@@lilyzemengist8091 Holding space for your pain and experiences. I think the part about connecting the dots is to really simplify. Say, for example, as a kid you loved the smell of the earth after it rained & you have positive feelings/memories about that and playing outdoors, you had to walk to school in middle school and you always looked forward to seeing the beautiful roses three blocks down, in high school you participated in a community garden project and felt at home, you perhaps volunteered at a camp and found a piece of yourself when you went on your first hike, etc etc, the "dots" in the thread of this life is nature. Perhaps this person's calling is in nature. Maybe upon further examination it's nature and research bc the person was studious....or nature and people because the person is extroverted or loves community.
Often people mistake the success of passionate people to mean that it has to be this huge thing like being an Olympic swimmer and you trained every day since childhood. Maybe another's passion is more softspoken. Thoughts? Maybe I'm wrong, but that's what I got from this. All the best to you both.

This is 3 years late but you summed up my memories & experiences. I almost feel like somehow you know me, which is odd considering this is the RUclips comment section.
Anyhow, I do remember being content everytime it rained as a child and the wonderful smell of (as you alluded to) the air, grass, & asphalt after it rained. I remember my cousins and I playing with a frog that just happened to hop out of the pond that the rainstorm created in their backyard like a basin.
After years of being in school, I finally found something worthwhile, and I'm currently doing research in my field.
Here I thought for years that I wasn't a science person but my grades & work show different.
How amazing is it that your comment almost perfectly aligns with the turns my life has taken.
