Not really. In the USA everything is written with words and it's hard to understand sometimes what they mean or to read for people with bad eyesight. I've seen signs with so much stuff written that it was impossible to read it all at normal speeds. It took me forever to figure out what "DIP" meant, for example. Plus it's too easy to get a driver's license in the USA and most drivers don't bother to learn all the signs, since the handbooks are so thin and don't list them all. Europe implemented a more international usage for the traffic signs and hardly any words are used usually. However getting a driver's license is very hard and expensive, and the handbooks are thick like a dictionary.
I like the way Tourist Bus Simulator starts where you arrive at the airport and have to set up your business, buy your first bus, go get it, etc., etc. This game just drops you into a bus right at the start. But I like the way this game lets you sell tickets to the passengers. Tourist Bus you just give free rides to everyone -- how do you make any munny?
I think you are just not used to the narrower lanes that are built in europe. I mean, a truck n trailer barely fit into a lane here and I'm not talking about the extra wide/oversized loads.
Everything is green because FlixBus is a real company and they are only using buses in that green-orange design. You can see those busses a lot here in Germany. Before they bought MeinFernbus FlixBus used to use a bright blue design for their busses.
I love this game. I'm sure others might have commented, but traffic signs with grey graphics and a grey line diagonally across means the end of that restriction for the preceding sign in full color.

Jeff just to let you know, Green is the primary color of the company and orange is the secondary. You can change it on the skyliner with the livery though
The two cars at the red lights werent a volvo or a citroen. It was a Ford Mondeo Estate on the left and a Honda Civic on the right. I live in the uk and are also a coach driver and travel across to germany all the time and you take the corners alot faster than me!! But the games looks ace and ill be downloading it to play when im not driving!
One of the best things about Fernbus is that Flixbus is a real company who operate in Germany (but also stretch out to North France, Belgium and even the UK at a push) and if you drive on the highways in those countries sooner or later you will see one and they look exactly as the buses do in the game. It's kinda surreal to see something straight out of a video game irl.
I don't know but I am a type of person that quite obsessed with buses, then till I heard about this a few months ago and saw this review gameplay, this game is actually what I am looking for like you can walk around if you are into Role playing thing this is the best for a bus simulator!! =D
On tourist bus simulator you can do it all and also run your own company it is owned by the same company to but fernbus runs differently so it depends what style you like

Jeff, buses very rarely lift axels in Europe. It's mostly for offroading or for crossing obstacles. Otherwise, glad you have ppunged into the flixbus world :)
I went to Germany this past April on a school trip, while we were there we had a bus that was exactly like this minus the paint design, it's pretty cool that the devs made a real bus in their game
Hey jeff the developers have done alot of work on this game...i can tell you they improved it alot. When you start driving the bus make sure you turn all passenger buttons on and after you board passengers make sure you start the ride on the in game phone device. There are in game penalties for not doing those things...you see what i mean if you keep playing.....luv ur vids!!
Yeh, Fernbus was pretty terrible at launch. It is far, far better in every way than it used to be. It still has horrible loading times, is fussy about controllers, and still suffers from "cheap German sim" syndrome with the way the map is designed (the route Jeff took today is one of the few good routes). But those things are not too much of an issue - it is a perfectly good "sitting on the motorway" sim, and I just love the ambient sounds as you're rolling down the motorway.
This reminds me of my trips in Scotland and the Netherlands (and some others in France)! I love, I do love coach trips, especially those at night (I like night trips in general), the sound of the coach silently hitting the roads, the slight vibration and the silence in general in the coach, because the silence in coaches is a real thing. This is not like the noisy and stressful city buses where everyone's impatient going to work or school, where people talks sometime too loud, talking about ladybugs on their knees... Anyway, the sounds are so appealing, no joke I was sitting on my chair and I felt like I was in an actual coach! I'd love to see more. Definitely. I saw, in the map selection, "Europe", does that mean that you can travel outside of Europe? Thank you for the video!
the only way to get rid of the green is to go to the skyliner and there is a blue livery I think there is also another bus with a white livery but I can't remember which one also you're supposed to bring out the phone and press start journey before you leave there were also other pages to look at when you were checking your score
That's awesome! As a German it's really cool to see. And '70 with a slash' means that the previous set speed limit is cancelled at that point and that you can go up to a 100 km/h.
Wow, when I saw the name of the game and title screen there is no way I expected it to turn out to be this.. good looking. I will say that for a game that apparently has been out for a few years it still has quite the price tag on it on Steam. It does seem much more relaxed than Bus Sim 18, mostly I think for not having to always worry about Potholes every few seconds. It does seem to lack a bit of character that the other game has though. I do really like the idea of a Coach instead of a city bus however. Would love to see more to see what else this game has going for it.
I have Canada, C2C and Mexico installed along with the FLB truck and Graphics, Real Names and no problems. Must be signage and maybe traffic. Jazzy Cat is cool, but problematic.
Hey Jeff, i was on a ride with FlixBus often so i can tell its green because its the company color. and a german license plate is first letters for the city, B is Berlin for example, after it there are one or two letters and they are followed by three or four numbers. FlixBus now got a new thing called FlixTrain.
There is a button on the dashboard if you want to open the door from inside and I think there are an option that let the passenger to talk to you if you are over speeding or something
I love that wheel design. It's in all Daimler AG group trucks and buses. In ETS2 you can see it in Mercedes-Benz trucks, in ATS it's in Freightliner Cascadia and Western Star 49X. And here in Fernbus Sim it's in this Setra Comfort Class, although it's unlicensed, but the wheel (as well as the rest of the coach) is represented pretty faithfully.

Hi Jeff in europe are different road laws singel road are 60 km and the. // means you can go faster than 70 km and the high way are top speed 90 km and road are smaller than usa
This game has a lot of great features I wish we had in Truck Simulator....but there are quirks about it that I just can't live with! Strange driving control feel, plus everything seeming so 'bloomed' is rough on my experience with this title. I don't really notice anything on the graphics. What was the improvement?

Tourist Bus Simulator is about charter transportation, not public transportation.

You can download different skins for the coaches via the workshop though.

Jeff you have to lower the bus for high speeds. It reduces that crazy lean.
In the Netherland we also have the stoplight above where you stop. I think it is in all europe like that.
