    After 8:35 I just stood up from my seat and started dancing. Love Indian Music. So Magical way better than Bollywood. Classical Indian Music is the best.

      roottruthseeker I agree that there is some very good Bollywood music out there , but that was all produced long back. Still there is some good music being produced , but it is difficult to find. You are right I should not have generalized it .

    This live version of Lasya still gives chills. I've probably listend to it 300 times and still love it. The world needs more talent like Anoushka, she is truly a living legend. I challenge anyone to show me a current so called 'artist' that could create & play anything remotely as complex as Indian summer.

    It angers me that talentless twerking pop stars are more popular and admired than someone as ridiculously skilled and talented as Anoushka.
    It's so lovely how she is always smiling and down to earth. Musicians like her and her father aren't born every day.

    Anoushka at her best, just addicted to it. Love it. She brings out spirituality in all her compositions and this one just seems to blend so well with the piano. Her music can invoke emotions and everyone must listen to her. A true lover of music would appreciate this. Thank you.

      Mrindangam is the substitute for Tabla in South Indian Classical music

      There was the 'Mridangam ' as a substitute for the 'tabla'. Honestly , it sounds better without the 'tabla'.(No offense if you have a penchant for the 'tabla')

      warlike tiger Hindustani music is influenced by Turkish music. Carnatic music retains it's original Indian form. Shut up if you have no idea what you are talking about. Mridangam is older than tabla. Infact it is believed that tabla was created by splitting the mridangam into two halves.

    i feel a lot of pain and longing in the music - i have read that she was in the middle of writing this album when her beloved father passed away. i listened to this a lot after my wonderful grandmother passed away in Dec 2015 too. I love all of Anoushka's albums, but this is a personal favourite because the songs carry a lot of emotion, more than words will ever be able to articulate.

    I have been replaying it for so many times. Like so many people commented, she deserves a Grammy . I feel bad that she has been nominated for Grammy so many times an never won any. ..... pity ! westernisation is important these days. She is such an amazing talent and what a great hands on sitar .. I am your big fan and please plan Australia some time ... you deserve a lot and you will be a legend in coming years. Keep up the good work.

    Her music flows like a balanced short story cycle: begins with calming reveries, enters a tumultuous rage, and drops the mic in "Chasing Clouds". Never heard a collection of pieces in one go that made me feel so many emotions at once. Comparing her work with Ravi Shankar's is like comparing apples and oranges, and certainly an injustice to her genius.

    In last part of the video, the person with flute... Alongwith sitar, crate the heat in the environment... Mind blowing, fabulous, how could he match the speed of sitar... Fingers of anoushka run on sitar like a snake on road.. it needs practice of years... Hats of to the team... Thanks anoushka shankar for wake my interest in classical music
