i feel a lot of pain and longing in the music - i have read that she was in the middle of writing this album when her beloved father passed away. i listened to this a lot after my wonderful grandmother passed away in Dec 2015 too. I love all of Anoushka's albums, but this is a personal favourite because the songs carry a lot of emotion, more than words will ever be able to articulate.

I feel bad that she has been nominated for Grammy so many times an never won any. ..... pity ! westernisation is important these days. She is such an amazing talent and what a great hands on sitar .. Her music flows like a balanced short story cycle: begins with calming reveries, enters a tumultuous rage, and drops the mic in "Chasing Clouds". Never heard a collection of pieces in one go that made me feel so many emotions at once. Comparing her work with Ravi Shankar's is like comparing apples and oranges, and certainly an injustice to her genius.
