Thank You, There are a lot of better "how to" videos out there but I toss them out anyway. Sometimes a different view or perspective really helps me when I'm working on something.
This video was a great help... Had to change my cam chain tensioner gasket yesterday. Ive had it off before, but this was a great reference on how to do it.
good job, the pieces inside the starter are carbon pieces which fell off the starter brushes. i think you are paying over attention to the gasket, i just put a new gasket with no silicon and it has no issues or i used just a silicon without gasket and it worked too.
Thank You, Yes your probably right, I went a bit over board, but I'm very lazy and don't want to ever have to do this again :) My 2006 DR650 never leaked a drop and it was bone stock and 7 years older? You just never know?
you all probably dont care but does anyone know a trick to log back into an instagram account? I stupidly lost the account password. I love any tricks you can offer me.
@Theo Kelvin thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
why did you change the CCT? I have a weird metallic clicking sound coming from the engine and ive been told its the CCT that needs replacing. Did you have a noise that caused you to change it?
Your camera needed to be tilted up a bit so we saw more of what you were doing and less of your feet. Also guys, make sure you set the engine in TDC on the compression stroke before removing the cam chain tensioner. Very important.
I thought that was a detailed, quality video. "Thumbs way up" from this Kentucky boy. You now have a new subscriber.

Thank You ZShark, I had forgotten about that video. Glad that it helped a bit. Doesn't seem like 3 years ago?

Great video 👍🏻
Did the same operation a few month ago and i also used a bit of silicon with the gasket just in case...
I agree, it sure can't hurt. I just want to do the job once and go riding! :) Hope your doing well.

@Theo Kelvin It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my ass!
it would better if you fixed your camera stationary, all the bobbing about made feel sick- I could not watch it through to the end.
Thanks for the tip. I will give it a shot on the next How to Video.

Mine had a bad oil leak from there at 900 miles?? It was shooting up a mist of oil and covering everything. Good luck with your noise.

Thank you, I just changed the camera mount, I think it is much better.
