@@ccramit that is no stray. He was either abandoned, or separated somehow. Cats don't just randomly run up to humans and befriend them if they are completely stray and feral.
I was drinking myself to death in a horrible depression 10 yrs ago living in a derelict house that I was trying to renovate. One day a beautiful black and white cat turned up and shared my lunch with me in the garden. He came back every day to see me. He was there every day, rain or shine. I bonded with him and he followed me everywhere like a shadow, befriended all of my friends and family. 10 yrs later he is still my best friend and I am now sober. I can honestly believe wholeheartedly in the goodness and love that animals bring to us. My little friend saved my life and taught me that kindness and love still exists in the world. God bless these lovely animals ❤
@@Maria.Aurelia Maria, please keep your cat in your life, they are such loving, genuinely kind animals. I know finances can be tough, but you'll find a way to make it work out. Keep positive and remember they depend on us as much as we depend on them. Sending love ❤
@Mark, I am so happy that you’re still sober and have your furry boy with you. I have a kindamycat who came to me at my lowest point and sleeps on my bed to this day. I think they’re sometimes sent to us by some higher power, cats really are a blessing.
I adopted an abused cat from a shelter in 1993. It took a long time to break down the barriers of fear and mistrust she had of humans, but when I finally did, she became devoted to me for the rest of her life. She walked me to the door every day when I went to work and greeted me when I came home. When I had no other reason to get out of bed, she gave me a reason and that kept me going through some tough times. That same cat saved my life when there was a gas leak in my apartment and she raised a huge cry to get me out of bed. I was already mentally foggy from the gas and would have died if my cat hadn't persisted in waking me. She also woke me up a few years later when we lived on a boat and the bilge pumps failed in the night--the boat would've sunk if not for her sounding her own alarm. I held my cat in my arms when she died peacefully in 2004. Adopt a shelter cat or dog. With kindness and patience, you can heal whatever hurt they've suffered and in the process, you may heal yourself.
Sweet Nabi, he found someone to love and accept him after spending so much time alone in the wild forest and mountains. I'm very happy for both of them. May they be healthy, blessed and happy always.
the way the cat didn’t even hesitate to come back to him after being very scared of his dog says volumes. It takes trust and loyalty to be earned by animals and not every human is capable of that but this gentleman is. This is so precious
Yeah, I thought that cat was gone for the day, at least. I’ve had my orange tabby since he was 7-9 weeks old and he’d be gone til dinner time. That cat has a remarkable amount of trust in his human companion. It’s beautiful and touching.
Cats recognize people and animals as individuals. They would differentiate how they treat each of us based on how they like us or not, so even if they hate your family members, they would still love you if they chose to, and if you treat them kindly and with respect. Soooooo, earning cat's love is a blessing!
It was like that for me when I found my little girl in the streets. Couldn’t have happened at a better time. She came into my life right after I had gone through my divorce. My cat quickly became my everything. I helped her out by giving her a home and she helped me find mine again.
"I used to walk the mountains alone, but now I am no longer lonely." That hit me so hard. I'm glad he takes the time to show the cat affection instead of chasing it away like another wild animal.
the fact that old man pays attention to not accidentally hit him with his legs is also wholesome, while painstakingly making sure he's walking along without discomfort
"I used to roam the mountain alone, but now that Nabi is with me, I'm not lonely anymore." Animals play such an important and distinct role in our lives.

When life hurts and your heart is empty, sometimes the universe can see the emptiness and grants you a wonderful gift of love and friendship. This same happened to me a few years ago when a little cat came into my life and brought the gift of true love back in my heart that was cold and empty. Love that will stay in my heart for the rest of my life. After fulfilling this task perfectly, he left my life and is now waiting for me on the other side where I will meet him again one day. Job well done little Mutuu, mission complete.
This is beautiful, the same thing happened to me with my little cat Bunny. She passed away last month ad it broke my heart. But I know we’ll be together again one day and she also completed her mission perfectly. 💖
i was kinda relieved hearing the cat was only 2 to 3 years old. that means he got at least 13 years of love ahead of him. we had a cat that lived til 24!
@@hiro6406 yeah sprayed is important. it seems to GREATLY improve the life of a cat. quoted from pet finder "Neutered male cats live 62 percent longer than unneutered ones. Spayed female cats live 39 percent longer than unspayed ones"
I had a group of 5 cats at one time..three were related and two were rescued from situations around my area where I really felt that their lives were in danger, they become the happiest little family. But they would all come to me at around 2:00 in the afternoon winding in and out around my feet and meowing wanting to take ME for their walk. It was a rural area so I could cut through fields and avoid the roads, they talked to me and "guided" me the whole way until they'd had their fill (usually about a half mile) then we would go home, get treats and hydrate and take a nap. It was the sweetest, most precious time of my life except for the birth of my children. That's been about 15 years ago..I still think about my "posse" almost daily like lost family.😌
@@truthisinthebible Well, like I said that was 15 years ago. But I still miss ALL of my past pets every single day of my life. I've been through some hideous stuff lately so I'm a little emotional..makes me miss everyone even more.😢
This cat is as loyal as a dog. It's so cute that he walks between the man's legs and rolls on the ground next to his feet. He seems very attached to the man. I wish the man could get his dog to be friendly with the cat so them three could take walks in the woods together.
@William Tinklepaugh - ❤️ Take comfort in the home you gave to Emily, and all the love you shared with her. She may be approaching the last days of her natural life, but that is as it should be...we, too, face that cycle. Keep her close, make her way forward as easy as possible, grieve as you need to, and then open your home and your heart to another companion who needs you as much as you need him or her. There are so many who have no one.
@William Tinklepaugh Your Emily is certainly a wonderful cat. How touching that she knew how to comfort you during your toughest times! Lately I've felt that dread you mention as I observe my dog getting older. I guess all we can do is appreciate our pets' s goodness, their love and their sense of wisdom by loving them in return and enjoying every day they are with us until their time comes. Acceptance makes it bearable. I hope you'll find some sort of inner peace. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
@William Tinklepaugh Your story makes my heart feels joy and pain at the same time. Joy for you having such a loyal and loving cat which is irreplaceable. Sad because she's nearing the time when she has to leave you someday.... I'd like to have a cat or 2, but so afraid of losing a dearly loved friend. Lost my mom 2005 and 2 months ago my dad. My heart feels like it's being ripped apart everyday. We've had cats a long time ago and missed them. They either died or they got lost and never came back which haunts me to this day. I was the one who took care of all of them. Would love to have another or 2 some day, but I fear losing them again. I'm feeling that anxiety over your cat's situation now, but I pray that God will grant her a few more loving and memorable years (?) with you. Blessings to you and your cat.
@@emikobcat No. But you should get to know your cat and regularly inspect the cats for bruises and lumps for their health. They won't tell you when something is wrong so you need to occasionally examine them so you can get them to the vet when you see a tumor or infected scratch. You should also occasionally inspect their teeth and gums, maybe brush them for them with kitty toothpaste if they have bad teeth.
Actually no. They just want attention. Especially food. They want you to give them food and also pet them. They really trust you when u touch their stomach and not getting any scratch.
I noticed two children's bicycles in the background by the house when the man mentioned that he's alone out there and that he's had a lot of sad fortune. I think he's been through some tragic loses... my heart goes out to him.

They crossed paths when he was at his worse, and Nabi was in a life-threatening situation. It seems that they saved eachother and gave eachother purpose. You can see in their faces that they are angels to eachother. So precious
I went through something similar over a decade ago, when a tiny kitten with the skin shredded off of his tail came stumbling through our open doorwall one day. He was terrified, looked like he was in extreme pain, and his rotting tail could be smelled from many feet away. I tried calmly talking to him in hope he would calm down, he had his back to me and backed up into my hand, I pet him lovingly and he purred to where it sounded like he was bursting into tears and hyperventilating. It was such a sweet moment, knowing after whatever cruelty he must have faced from another human(s), he realized that humans are also capable of showing deep love. We got his tail amputated and immediately you could see he felt much better and happier. He is with my parents today and his name is Cheddar because of his bright orange fur.
Brought me into tears, sad man lives alone in mountains, sad that cat is all by himself too. Glad they both found each other and that's the happy beginning 🥰🤩😍😘
What a wonderful story! That dog needs to be acclimated to Nabi, 'cause Nabi deserves to be indoors at night! You expect dogs to love most anyone, but to become so close to a stray cat is one of life's great treasures!
I’m watching this about a week after an orange stray cat chose me to care for her. And similarly, we have no idea where she came from. She was crying in the woods for help and I found no other cats or owners around. But now she is well fed and cared for and she loves to curl up on top of me and play with my beard. Cats are truly special when you bond with them because cats are selective about who they trust.
Similar instance here. When I was, I think, a sophomore in high school this tiny white kitten came running up from nowhere towards me and my brother. Our mom said we could keep her if she was still there when we got back from school. Low-and-behold, she was. My family have always been cat people, so we had no issue gaining her trust. She's 4 years old now and the sweetest, most beautiful cat I've ever known. She was a huge comfort when my favorite cat passed, that particular cat was always there for me when I was at my lowest points (I think he could sense it, he would lay on me and purr). She was there for me when he couldn't. Cats are truly amazing creatures.

I could tell right away that that little guy was a lover , not a fighter. I had one try to follow me once , but I had to take him back to his owners. I've had a couple of sweeties like him. I want to get one, but the humane society (due to Covid) won't let people come in to see the cats. That's where I got them before, and it was like they chose me. Where there s a will there's away. My landlord is cool with anumals. even though we're not supposed to have them, but they do, "therapy" pets.I've been so isolated for so long, I need a little buddy so badly. Someone offered me a kitten. bit really like older cats. He's coming. I know .Soon I hope.
Poor thing, he has really bad separation anxiety. Maybe because the man is the first human to show him love and so he’s become very attached. That happens a lot with rescues. My dog who is also a rescue has similar behaviour. Anyway I’m glad they now have each, he seems like such a nice man.
Man: “I used to roam around the mountain alone, but now that Nabi is with me, I'm not lonely anymore.” Nabi: “I used to roam around the mountain alone, but now that my champion is with me, I'm not lonely or afraid anymore.” ❤️ this story!!

They could only be outside at the same time if they had the ability to get to shelter.
If he makes him a kitty door he can go in and out of that room he made for him by himself. He will feel more comfortable knowing he can leave if he wants to. Also have the man put a shirt of his that he has worn, and has his smell on it in the kitty's bed for comfort.

I'm an atheist and that touched my heart. Amazing, almost as though the Nabi understood what the man was doing and showed respect. As long as you are a good person who expresses your goodness through deeds and I think we can all agree that this man is one of the best at doing that, his beliefs are his own and fine with me. If he started his own Go Fund Me acct., I would be willing as many others probably would be to send a small amount for the care of the Nabi. After all, he's only 2-3 years old and barring any unforeseen circumstances could survive another 10 years at least. Thinking about that brings up many emotions with the hope that the man survives Nabi. G
@@k00wl It was more for him feeling trapped inside. But when he was alone outside I belive he did cry just because he wanted the gentleman with him. The last cat I rescued, well she saved herself I guess, because I found her in my garden, she probably was only 2 months old but looked smaller and extremely thin. I found her in July but she didn't enter voluntarily till the end of October. Every time I tried to make her enter by force she would get very anxious, so given that it was summer, and she had her place in the garden I decided to not stress her and make her get used to me and my family... and my other cats. Years ago we found a cat again in the garden (they probaly smell other cats and therefore decide to come, every year there is a new cat in our garden but a few stay permanently some just come for food) he just entered like it was his home XD since day one. Reminds me of this stray(?) cat I’ve been caring for since January. No clue where she came from but she’s seemingly always in my backyard. Even at night she sleeps on the chairs we have back there. She’s the sweetest and prettiest thing in the world☺️ but my mom is allergic so she’s hesitant to let the cat in at night.

That is so true! I had two kitten who both lived to age 19. After the second one died, my husband and I were so heart-broken. Two months later, a stray came to our doorstep. We took him to the vet to see if anyone was missing a cat. No one claimed him and we kept him. He's such a happy go lucky cat. He's funny like this one in the video. And during the pandemic, after one of my best friends died of a heart attack, there was a kitten outside our home who was abandoned by the mother and father cat. We rescued him, but in a way he rescued us too. These cats are just incredible. They just KNOW! Before the kitten was abandoned, he followed the mother and father two blocks away from our home. There's a path all the strays follow. And he found his way back to US after they left him!
When he started building the outside area for him because he didn't like when he was put indoors, that really choked me up. This was just what I needed today. Pure love. ❤️
I don't think it was so much being indoors, as being indoors without the 'mister'. Because even once he was let out after a play with 'mister', 'mister' went to bed and the cat continued crying.

Over 20 years ago, my family was adopted by a stray cat that insisted he was gonna come in and sleep on our beds while we were moving furniture into our new house. This cat proceeded to kick the garbage out of a neighbor's doberman for crapping in our back yard (After the dog hopped our fence). He was such a good cat.
Cats are just joyful creatures. Many of us prefer dogs than them because they are easier to understand, but cats can also be a good companion and can be a lasting memory.
Bc I watch a lot of animal videos, I sometimes encountered polling here on yt about your best animal/pets. Since I'm a cat person, I always pick cat, but the polling result kinda interesting. Channel from the us (English speaking) had dog as the highest pick, while korean channel had cat as the highest pick. Not trying to generelize but we're talking about the majority, dogs are liked more in the west since people there are more active and not shy at expressing their emotion. While cats are more popular in Asia since the people are calmer and they usually try to express their love in a more subtle way.

10 years ago, my wife and I picked up a cat that a family no longer wanted to keep. The cat, Mimmi, was about 6 months old. What we didn't know was that Mimmi had been treated very badly by the family's children and in other ways. When we got home with Mimmi, we saw how stressed she was. The slightest movement around her made her panic. She sneaking around and exploring the residence, she quickly found a safe place and laid down and fell asleep immediately. The first two nights she lay by my face purring. We also noticed when Mimmi came to us that the slightest movement startled her. You couldn't put your hand down on her, then she ran. It was then that we began to understand that she had been beaten and tortured. Mimmi initially had to contact us herself. It took years before I could move quickly or bring my hand down and scratch her. Now she trusts me, family and friends. When she's out and I go out, she follows me the whole time. She does not approach strangers as she does not trust them. I'm glad we took Mimmi in so she could have a more peaceful life. No need to be afraid of sudden movements. Now Mimmi is loved by us and she gives so much back.

I always feel bad. But he is a very friendly and social old kitty...he just needs some love from ANYONE and hes fine. I love cats. They are sooo special. True love is when a cat chooses you. It's a special feeling...to be chosen by a animal.
I have never seen a cat trying this hard to be pet, and that is hella adorable.

I belive he was abandoned or lost because he was not afraid of us and being inside and really wanted to be pet and have human company.

ONE TIME a well meaning aunt without our permission took Henry to the country to a relatives house and the cat walked back 30 miles. My grandmother threatened whoever got that bad idea. My grandmother could give WHAT FOR when she had to!!!

We had a cold winter here where I’m at, and a stray cat came to take shelter under a little roof right outside my backyard door. My mom brought him inside because she didn’t want him out in the cold and we instantly bonded 🥺 he chose me and I’m happy

Got a young cat at work who grew up in the woods and would run in the trees like a squirrel, now she's a bit chubby like me and just as lazy, love her forever!
My cat chose my spouse & I near the beginning of 2020 & calmed me down from panic attacks several times that year and since then. I’ve only had dogs and now I can’t imagine my life without this silly cat. 🐈⬛ 🥰
That has happened to me twice! Both at the lowest points in my life!!!

My cat does that as well.... then I found out he was deaf... I just never startle him... I love him to pieces. God bless and be safe.

I got him at a pet store...I picked him out...but he hated me...I mean HATED...he would attack me at night with all claws out, growl and hiss if I walked by, etc. I ended up taking him to my parents house cause I knew they would care for him.
He ended up falling in love with my dad from day one...and they r still best buds.
Although Petrie has FINALLY chosen to like me.
I had to care for him for 7 days when his foot got infected from a bad cut.
I took him to the vet, gave him meds daily, fed him, loved on him, made him beds, etc.
So for the last 3 years he has grown to love me, and comes to me for love and treats.
And my current kitty Inuyasha...or Yasha for short.
My friends cat had kittens...she was giving the kittens away, one to her mom, she kept one, and she had one boy left, all white.
Well when I went over there he came to me, and played on me started purring, and just stared at my face with love if I spoke to him...
I took him home cause my Timmy had recently passed away 1 month prior.
He chose me that day, and I love him so much.
He didnt replace Timmy...nothing could...but he has made me happy...
He is special in his way.
He goes bye bye in the car, walks on a leash, sleeps with me every night, cries for me if he doesnt know where i am or i go outside, is afraid of outside, feels bad if he hurts me while playing and stops instantly and runs on me, gets jealous of the other kitties if they are in our room or I play or love them, wakes me up every morning by throwing toys on me or walking on me to pet him, etc.
My brothers cat WANTS to be mine...but sadly he cant...my brothers son loves him too much...he tries to follow me and be with me...but I have to force him to go with his people.
I always feel bad.
But he is a very friendly and social old kitty...he just needs some love from ANYONE and hes fine.
I love cats.
They are sooo special.
