You can do so much to a Z. Those Sidedrafts sound so sick. Should put a L28 engine from 83 Datsun Z also Close ratios 5 speed and 411 Differential. Use the L24 head on L28 get 10 to 1 Compression and bigger Camshaft. You know the rest.😁
I had this exact set up on my old 73 240z's L28 back in 2010 and it sounded amazing! Being the poor highschool/college student I was, I eventually sold all that stuff off to fund the l28et swap to actually make some power, those old L motors sure can take a beating! They sound even better with a snail hanging off the side 😁
This definitely has my interest. It will be fun watching them turn screws and change Jets watching vacuum gauges. Really cool way of tuning instead of of what we normally see with the fuel injected side of things. please keep us updated.
Wow that's an awesome install you did Jack. I remember my Dad talking about triple Webber carbs on his Alfa Romeo Alfeta or something and never really seen em like that, really cool stuff
Someone will pay for the pace setter header for sure. Just don’t be that guy and try to charge an arm and a leg for it... that the reason the mikuni and solex triple carb setups are overpriced. I miss my 521 pickup but EVERYTHING was overpriced for the L16-L20 motors. And those are the 4cyl motors. The 6cyl are even more spendy. I hate how that works in the car game sometimes. And it’s usually because someone sees their parts as gold... or the parts were discontinued. The Datsun world is hard.
they all take hours of dyno tuning to set up, because the main jets, pump jets and emulsion tubes all interact to a degree; IMO Dellortos (can you still even buy them?) were even better road carbs than Webers, with Mikunis last because of the limited range of jets and tubes available.
I'm a simple man, I see a 240z and I click. Would love to see more Datsuns
I'd love a tuning carb video! Jack the computer wizard doing some carb works
That has to be Shaw's brother?!? I'm in love! .....with the 240!!!
"Keepin' it authentic." Mishimoto radiator enters the chat.

It's shocking to see a clean minimalist engine bay these days. Just the stuff to make it go and stop. No BS. Love it!
that sound with out mufflers was amazing!!!
One of the Bucketlist cars right there ❤️
Can't beat the sound of triple carbs! Love seeing a fellow Datsun RUclipsr!

Factory headers were cast iron. Anyway awesome job guys!👌👌👌

Timeless car. 1973 never looked so good.
Is that Shah’s brother? Or however his name is spelled.
Very nice. Looking forward to doing the same to my 260z soon.
Ah the cooler Horse Power version of Shaw
My dad had 76 280 6 cyclider fuel injected. It was a great car! My sister had 68 tr6 inline 6 with duel webber carbs
Good to hear that your sister is into cars also, none of my sisters are into cars and I have 4
Nice L24's need more love
Love a good 240z!
I love that 240
Hi Jack nice car Love the triple Webers. 😎👍
adore S30's, the other Z he's talking about is the techno toy tuning suspension , RB one isn't it? marcus was working on it one time
Yes
Different one! Stay tuned on shah’s channel Cars and Camels, once the body shop is finished we will get going on the motor, paint, and installation!
Daaaaaamn, Shah.
Please put it on the dyno! Love to see different cars on the dyno.
The fast Z should have a curry in a hurry decal
Jack is it possible some videos show us you doing the work find it to be more interesting
I’m always filming so it requires help. But I’ve tried working with my GoPro on. It’s annoying but ok sometimes.
The 3 carbs always looks nice but is super hard to get it to run 100%. That's why it's easier to have 2 or 1.
you must be thinking of SU carbs, once triple sidedrafts are tuned, they stay tuned.
Yeah Jack!
Really surprised you guys didn’t to a base line run on the dyno
The car wasn’t running properly enough
Hey jack I always wondered if you also speak Spanish?
Just put the 2jz in it u know u want to! Lol 2jz everything!
That 240 is pure sex on wheels...😍😍
this red 73 i will bet it has 152 cow pressure
the Samurai 240z had the hotter tuned engine with triple webers
120 on a good day
Sick
Neat. :)

Do not dyno it will break no no no
I feel racist...... thought that was Shaw.
HAHAHAHA
From what my friends tell webbers are easier to tune compared to mikuni, sk, delorto, and su dcoe side draft carbs.
