WOW. This was fascinating! I'm thinking that maybe ribs could have been sawed down to different sizes for a xylophone or hung up on strings as wind chimes? It's so cool that he could reproduce what it would have sounded like in a cave. I would imagine that the earliest peoples would have been inspired by all the sounds of nature around them; animals but also the different sounds of water, wind, etc.
That's kinda grotesque.
