EDIT: I update the title and thumbnail to change it from "Jailbreak" to "Exploit". This is simply because there is still some uncertainty as to how long it may take for other payloads to be implemented.

@@IOSLyeah just need to do a manual update using a USB drive, but i personally wouldn't update for now until there's a proper jailbreak

@@sugo_boii2227 the vulnerability works up to firmware 11.00, every version downwards should work, but obviously people are just going to develop the jailbreak between the 9.00 and 11.00, every version in between is fair game
Could this be ran using Steam Deck while in Desktop Mode rather than setting up a VM on Windows.
I have an Orange Pi, I think its basically the same as a Raspberry but it came preloaded with its own OS called Orange Pi and its basically a front end like EmuStation.

Well the reasons because the market will get destroyed by piracy yes I agree we should be able to game shark and cheat our games and things like that but the piracy is destroying the market that's why they don't want people to do this because majority of people probably are going to use this as they can play backups
@@TehAbdullah at this point then ps5 is about halfway through its life cycle and the “market” for ps4 will just be the resell market which isn’t hurting anything besides resellers. Real collectors will play backups of stuff they own and others will be able to enjoy games without paying ridiculous prices. Win win situation for everyone.

I've updated my ps4 3 times right a few days the new jailbreak comes out, I haven't play my ps4 for 10 months now, I'm on 10.50 and I'm very happy, I can wait a few more weeks for the full thing, thanks M8!

Dude if u pay that cool cat only 1000$ more than what sony pays him , he would have released the easiest jailbreaks bcuz sony controls what he should release and what not.
For example The 9.00 was a trap , ppl who updated from 5.05 kick themselves in the face, all ppl i know who are on 9.00 lost courage to play bcuz of the hard crashy jailbreak , some had to buy ps5 already.

Since ps4 graphics are close to ps5 , im 80% sure this one is gonna be a painfull jailbreak that discourage ppl more and more , bcuz if its easy jailbreak , ppl will be encouraged to buy ps4 instead of ps5.

Great video. Fun fact, you don't need to close the VM down to change the network settings, you can safely leave the VM running and change the network settings, just like you wouldn't shutdown a physical machine to change network settings/configurations.
Also, you don't need a LAN cable directly from PS4 to PC, so long as they are both on the same network (and I guess for the purpose of this tutorial connected via ethernet cable) this will work just fine.

my 9.00 ps4 bricked after kernel panic reformating and reinstalling system software and even changing hdd didn't fix it
@@Koi33.You need to install the "recovery firmware" and not the "official firmware" to restore your ps4. Obviously using whatever firmware you had.

Mac users can do the same thing windows users can also do the same using the cmd the most latest version of cmd is compatible with unix commands it is a bit more complex translating ideas but once you understand unix systems it won’t be an issue
I feel like running jailbreaks this way on ps4 could lead us to hosting private servers for online use. Like the Xbox 360 had.

Yeah it does exist you can actually use the same one as the xbox 360 and it will work for jailbroken ps4s

Mine was already on 11.00, took 3 try to work, crashed the ps4 the 2 times before that.

I will update as soon as possible goldhen is ported. I use an old laptop or a Raspberry. So i dont need the USB Drive and it can Jailbreak the ps4 maybe alreadY at booting.

@@TamactiJun74 se non sbaglio Thefl0w ha detto che la vulnerabilità è sfruttabile su tutti i firmware a partire dalla 9.00 alla 11.00, per ora però lo script funziona solo con queste due versioni, probabilmente verrranno aggiunte anche le altre in futuro quando sarà più stabile, in ogni caso se hai un firmware più vecchio dell'11.00 ti basta fare un aggiornamento manuale ma conviene aspettare

I have a 9.00 FW machine, all the things I've seen say to not update beyond it. So, when you enter the MAKE command line, do I change both FW variables to 9.00 or just the end one. I presume that logically it's both on both lines, just wanted to check with the expert.... Thanks, Paul..

Get good at soldering you can ( firmware revert ) to a single previous version, without backup. Getting any good should take shorter than 3 years Evidently.

You dont need to update . Just stay on the same firmware you have and wait for a stable version of jb to be released cheers 😄

You don't HAVE to but why WOULDN'T you? All the mods/payloads and support will be focused on 11.0 not 10.50 or anything else.
