    Weren't there unmarried women in Medina for the Muhajirs to marry?

    • @mohamedkashwani950
      @mohamedkashwani950 2 года назад

      They were strangers and probably in need, not anyone would accept

      In a normal society, the ratio is pretty equal. Secondly, an unmarried woman will prefer a young unmarried man. Also, as Sayed mentioned, these were only a few limited instances.

    So were there many more male muhajireen than female? Where/Who/How many were the first Muslimah?

      That's an interesting topic. We will request Sayed if we can have a short series on it.

    Sounds distasteful that a wife could be donated to a stranger

      Or in other words: a woman willingly sacrifices her family for someone who has sacrificed his everything :)

    There is a logical fault in this arrangment : how can any one offer his own Wife to someone without first having divorced her, and after divorce husband has no right over women, assuming that husband, here, only withdraws himself with the consent of wife but in such a situation if the proposed muhajir does not wishes to marry that women (on any ground) what would be the outcome, as prior to divorce of such a woman the muhajir is not expected to have seen somebody's wife (the divorced lady) with the intention of marrying her.

      We will request to you listen to this lecture again. The entire act was happening with the agreement/consent of both sides 🙂

    Did the holy prophet approve these marriages? Was this a Mutah? If these reports are true. Were there any prominent children ( Sahabas ) born out of these marriages?

      It wasn’t temporary, the wives weren’t being lent, they were being transferred.
