That fucking sliding puzzle right? I love almost everything about the layton series, and that puzzle is the reason i have to add 'almost' to that statement.
Good to know someone else enjoys this movie as much as I do. You’re review hit all the points I liked about this film: puzzles, adventure, Grotsky, and the completely crazy stuff that’s usually on par for a Layton game. I hope you keep up the good work and that your channel gets many more subscribers!
Finally, someone actually acknowledges the greatness (and existence) of this movie. It is, and probably always will be, one of my all time favorite movies - and it's a video game movie! The only thing that actually bothers me a bit is the plot holes... At least it's loyal to the games
This is actually a great video, really well made and showing off indeed one of the best video game movies ever. When i saw the video i thought this guy has to have like atleast 20K subs, but i was very suprised to see a guy with 77 subs put such dedication in a video like this. Bravo sir.

Why does noone ever talk about how when Layton figures out the puzzle he just like... lets everyone who didn't get it die? He's just complicit in what he at the time assumes to be a murder killing people, as he never is privy to the information that they're not being murdered. though with the end of the third game, civilian murder is just one of those things in the series as well
the pokemon anime doesn't count, unless it's origins. the anime is a base, rather than just the game, as pokemon won't probably be nearly as popular without the anime reinforcing the game. because of that, the mistake of which is based off which appears. as for the eternal diva, if you played the games you'll know that they don't leave you on cliffhangers, they use teasers that are unlocked by playing the previous game and entering the code after finishing it. the movie was teased in the last specter, namely, the helicopter scene.
According to the timeline, it takes place between The Last Specter and Miracle Mask. The final game was Azran Legacy, which was the final game in the prequel trilogy. So... in a way, kind of.

Well spoken, and makes for an excellent case to see the movie! Crying shame that the sequel never came to pass. Also, I've been on RUclips long enough to witness the start and subsequent growth of a ton of small channels. But like, mentally. Not spiritually. I fucking love the writing in this series.
I watched this movie in between playing Unwound Future and Last Specter, so I completely agree with the confusion in Descole's appearance. However, I feel like it also worked in a way.
