I actually had to have my whole right foot amputated up to my mid calf, While I'm still trying to cope with this situation I'm in, I can sympathize with Coach Prime and what he's going through. Just had a work friend who was going to have foot amputated, but got it better only to amputate the other foot and possibly knee.
      My Boss' dad went in to get recommended back surgery to improve life in 70s. Went wrong. Bad care afterwards and they amputated his leg at high thigh. He then died in a heart surgery 2 weeks after the poke.
      My Parents chiropractor went in for a foot or toe, then another Chop up the leg and finally at the hip which killed him. He was like 60s-70s I believe. Overall Healthy.
      My Boss' Dad was overall healthy with a lot of Drive. Korean. I've wondered if some of his latter health had to do with volunteering and serving in Vietnam?!?

      This is a humbling experience for Deion. He was often deemed by some as a person of flamboyance and self-indulgence. Here's wishing he can win this crucial battle as much as possible under these very difficult circumstances.

      Yup he had that turf toe. And people were acting like 'it's no big deal', he should just play hurt. But when your toes are hurt, you can't run, you can only limp, and he had to hang with world class athletes, that wouldn't work. Only he, would know when he could run. He was one of the best to ever play his position, if not 'the' best. And i'm not a Cowboys fan, I'm a Steelers fan (which is the opposite) He shut down all the greats. I don't think i ever saw anyone catch a pass on this guy. He also returned punts, sometimes played the wide receiver spot. And played major league baseball. He was getting around on a scooter in his first 'reality show; back in like, 2008. He's a likable guy, i hope he gets healthy.

    Man, I just went to a doctor on Tuesday about surgery for my bunions (hereditary - thanks Dad). I know there is a new surgery called lapiplasty. It's less invasive with a higher success rate and shorter recovery. The doctor said he could do it but that I would be on heparin for like a year. Now I know why from this video. He also asked if my walking was impaired or if I had pain. The answer to both questions is no, unless I walk for a very long distance and then I might have some burning feeling. So he asked me why I would want the surgery when there are risks (as in any surgery). He has scheduled the surgery but with the caveat that I can cancel at any time. This video has made my decision for me. The only legitimate reason I could come up with for the surgery was that I am too embarrassed to remove my shoes, so I haven't been to a pool or the beach in about 7 years. I am 70 years old this year. I think I can spend the rest of my life with ugly feet!

    • @michelemurphy3541
      @michelemurphy3541 2 года назад +5

      @@electricityonMARS they actually can turn black within hours. Compartment syndrome blocks that blood flow and it is quick. Often when compartment syndrome starts on one leg, it can go to both.
      It is true that you need to look for skin changes and wound changes for sure but by time you don’t get pedal pulse, you are already necrotizing on a capillary level at minimum-as you know, once that happens, you cannot reverse it, which is why they go in surgically to re plumb the area.
      It is important to understand, black toes | black fingers, can happen inside of hours, even with the best of care because it is an internal vascular | tissue response to the wound or injury.

    Hello Deon from Cynthia Scott in Fort Myers Florida I've been following you doing your illness and I've been hearing what you have been saying not knowing that what you been through was a whole lot worse than what you were speaking listening to this physician sharing all the information concerning what your body has gone through is really an eye-opener I can recall my aunt who had diabetes went through a number of things with her foot that turned dark and ended up in the hospital and the doctors wanted to amputate but was told by family members that she was too old to go through the procedure unfortunately the darkness ended up being gangrene which spread through her body very fast and of course she is now gone this makes me realize how important it is for us to pay closely attention to our bodies even in the slightest pain & compression so I thank you so very much for sharing this news with us and how the doctor of sports medicine explain so thoroughly what was going on, by the way love the way he explained using the model & color. sometimes we can experience such tightness in our arms and legs and think nothing of it but this, this is definitely an eye opener for me and I'm going to take my health even more seriously I pray that all goes well with you Deon and though you been through a lot I love your will power within yourself not to give up I love you be blessed and continue on the journey that God has given you he's not done with you yet be blessed.
