Hey class 0, it's me again. It's been 5 years... I was scared to watch this because the first time I saw the ending, I was crying so hard. It was difficult, at least for me as a play who had grown to love you and fought the war along side you. Class 0 still lives inside my mind until this day. I still remember.

Yeah, this ending is pretty sad but it's the best one. Class Zero was created by Al-Raisha with the purpose of breaking Orience's cycle of destruction and rebirth, so the world could break free from the spiral and mankind could prosper. Remember that Class Zero can use magic without the Crystal and absorb Phantoma, so in a sense they're abominations with way too much power to be left unchecked. It makes sense that their purpose could be fulfilled and their mission completed only by sacrificing themselves. Even with such a sad scene, it's an awesome ending that shows their selflessness and their hope for the future and what could've been if they could live in the world they saved. one of my most favorite heroic master piece ending of a video game, with class zero placing their weapon in a way to form a pole and placing their red capes on the pole in a way to form a flag with the empty curved hole spaces who seems to form in a manner Orience continent emblem and placing themselves around the flag holding each other hands before dying all these elements to make a monument and show how much they loved Orience and wanted to protected all and was shown has a sign to Machina to unite Orience.
For their entire life they were forced to forget those who died, who passed, who were gone. They didn’t know why or how or who they fight for, they were just following orders, do what they were told. But they finally decided to disobey orders to do what they believe is right, turn their back on everything they know to do what they believe is right. They died fighting for what they believe, and they…won’t be forgotten.
Machina is the true victim in all of this. I'd read the novel set right before this game to find out why he is the true and only hero/protagonist. In the experiment set before the game, Rem became judgement and started killing everyone. Everyone used their bodies to shield Machina and Queen died in machina's arms. They all gave their phantoma to Machina and told him to save Rem. Machina was forced to kill her and Rem thanked him for it. In the arena surrounded by all his dead classmates, he cried and then Arecia appeared, blaming him for the whole thing. You see, Machina in that cycle never blamed Class zero for his brother's death. He instead responded that he understands that this is war and his brother died doing his mission. Machina befriends everyone in the class and taught them about human things like having dreams [King dreamt of being a cop. Sice wanted to open an orphanage, Ace wanted to be a teacher etc] and Arecia said due to him giving them humanely desires he weakened class zero from becoming the agito. Machina begged her with tears in his eyes to make things right, to turn things back no matter the cost. Arecia did it and wanted to make sure THIS time for this cycle/experiment that Machina would not interfere. So, she made Rem sick with a deadly disease and naturally, Machina carried onto the next cycle with the same fear of losing everyone without knowing why.
@@riovaldes5939 No, no, they're all grievously injured by the end of the game. They were already dying, in that scene in the classroom, and they all knew it. Making that flag and arranging themselves was their last act.
FFII, Crisis Core, and Type-0 are all onions! And screw you Square Enix, you just had to make the one who happens to resemble Aerith cry the hardest about being afraid to die. You did that on purpose!
Just imagine if when someone died in real life, we really did forget all memories of them. It would make someone's passing less sad, but then again, it would be sad that they'd be forgotten.
+Amber XV Did you see the secret ending ?The one with phoenix flame could be him they look exactly alike. If there is a sequel i have confidence Ace's gonna back.
Just finished this game yesterday, I am crying, the game is so good and their sacrifice aren't wasted.. Machina and Rem though. Rem is probably the only member of class 0 alive and will pass the history
Despite the fact that the characters were all so one-dimensional that I never felt any attachment to them while playing, this scene alone actually managed to tug at the heartstrings quite a bit.
I thought I was going to have to hold back the tears but after finishing the game I'm actually happy for Class Zero: They saved the world and died as heroes. The only loser from my perspective is Machina (I don't hate him though, I just think he was a fool), who turned against his friends and killed the girl he loved instead of being there to help everyone.
Well Machina's is representing "fear" traits that is why his acting like that. He was deceived for thinking Class Zero is the reason for the death of his brother that is why he chose to become their enemy l'cie when he had the chance to become strong to protect Rem and avenge his brothers death but in the end he got manipulated by Gala.
I haven't played Type-Zero in a hot minute, but I still remember this ending crystal clear. I played it to the point I got every character to level 99 and I grew to love everybody. I even quote Aces part of Bump Of Chicken-Zero because its oddly bittersweet but also comforting a bit. Rarely has a game made me actually cry, they all looked so happy talking about the future, than Machina and Rem walk in and all of them are dead, all of them holding hands. At least they all died together and weren't alone

It's a very sad ending no matter how many times I watch it. Whats more sad about it is that the one who betrayed them many times machina lived peacefully while the rest of class 0 who fought for the world died😥
And guess what, the character who betrayed us and the character who we thought it was going to die from the beginning of the game, was actually the ones who lived in the end... PLOT TWIST!!!
This ending was very sad, But after the alternate ending makes me even sadder, Cuz class 0 wish for a normal school life could only happen in their dream.
How come Machina gets all the glory? He was a prick. This is a great ending but I think it would have been more effective if Machina and Rem had remained dead. It would be the Hamlet of game endings.
+Wannabe_Baby Joker and Tiz covinced Arecia that is the reason why she freed Machina and Rem from their crystal statis then to help Class Zero for defeating The Rursan Arbiter.
@@Sealularity I think the reason why he didn't mention the other characters is because Hajime Tabata directed Crisis Core and Final Fantasy XV along with FF Type-0.

I found Final Fantasy through Kingdom Hearts. I've played multiple games in the series now and I have learned something. They are not afraid of killing off any character. Main character you think has everything? Die Flower girl we all adore? Die A class that is amazing? . . . Well, let's kill every single one and make fans cry once more. This game should have gotten it's sequal
8 years and it's still give me tears, queen my girl, this ending hit me hard but then i know there's an alternate ending hits 2x heavier because i know it's just a dream, poor kids they just want to be free. This is the only game i don't want to play the second time because i feel like i was just torturing them even though they doesn't exist. Edit: L for Machina i hate him so much.
I don't know this story at all but the last words from the girl about not being alone I think have to do with the saying that you come into the world alone and you die alone...she was saying she's not dying alone. :(
Sometimes doing the wrong things for the right reasons will have unintenionally consequences driven by fear of losing an childhood friend during a war... Machina had just realizes his mistake too late when he stabbed Rem on their fight during Class Zero's Final Battle against Cid, afraid to lose all his memories of her and the main reasons why that he became an I'Cie, instead he hurted the one person he cared about: (Rem).. Even after the two childhood friends free from their cystal stasis, Machina became overwhelm by guilt when he saw the whole Class Zero had sadly died from their injuries, mourned for the first time of his life as he apologise to his deceased classmates; While rebuilding Orience, an remorsefull Machina kept thinking about the last thing he said to them but he threw it on their face and left, if he hadn't betrayed them things would've been different and it really scarred the young man for his desired lust for his power just to protect Rem from getting killed..
Actually Machina betraying them is what made them stronger,it was explained in the novel,Machina being a friend of class 0 eventually makes them more human, and weaker, that is why Arecia caused an incurable desease to Rem,so Machina would only care about her and not the class in the next cycle

If this was an anime, or a movie, this would be the most popular, making a bunch of cash.
Bell Cranel I totally agree.
I really want it to have an anime featuring the whole story. But why don't they make one waaahhh??? 😥
@@anjumanara1195 I'd go with a CGI series the same quality as this.
@@arvinjay336 I WISH!!!! I’ve always wanted one, and even though it isn’t super poplar anymore, I still have hope that ONE DAY we’ll get a show

one of my most favorite heroic master piece ending of a video game, with class zero placing their weapon in a way to form a pole and placing their red capes on the pole in a way to form a flag with the empty curved hole spaces who seems to form in a manner Orience continent emblem and placing themselves around the flag holding each other hands before dying all these elements to make a monument and show how much they loved Orience and wanted to protected all and was shown has a sign to Machina to unite Orience.
ash fad wow that was amazing the way you put that
Wow, well said
I was going through my phone
That epic FF touch on Zero is so awesome!!
Those tears at the end is very special. It’s the first and only time people actually shred tears of sadness…in the ENTIRE GAME.
Machina is my most favorite Ff type 0 character. I’m glad I’m not the only one that likes him.
This and Crisis Core's ending just rips your heart apart, tapes and glues it back and then rips it apart again
I agree
even after all these years I still come here to watch this and suffer all over again

Main Characters: Hey this game is directed by Hajime Tabata and were surely going to die!
Both Type-0 and Crisis Core made me cry.
Cinque was my favorite, seeing her so peaceful when she closed her eyes really broke my heart
何回見てもこのエンディングは泣きそう…
THE BEST FINAL FANTASY EVER! I always cry when Machina and Rem open the class door for the last time....
Oh shit, that flag is made out of their capes and their weapons... I'mma go back to my corner and sob a bit
OH NOOOOOOO!!! I DIDN'T SEE THAT UNTIL NOW!!! 0o0 I'll go cry in a corner now...
FUCK I didn’t realize, also *ouch*
Did they suicide?
@@riovaldes5939 No, no, they're all grievously injured by the end of the game. They were already dying, in that scene in the classroom, and they all knew it. Making that flag and arranging themselves was their last act.
@@OnCuzImBored this game is truly masterpiece😭😭
this and ff7 crisis core.
square enix always makes us cry like a baby.
Both of which were directed by Hajime Tabata. Bet we can expect the same feels for Final Fantasy XV
+MrVince329 We can only hope...SE needs a bit of revitalization in its games...
+MrVince329 3rd Birthday too.
Hajime Tabata must love to killed his favorite character in heroic way.
FFII, Crisis Core, and Type-0 are all onions!
And screw you Square Enix, you just had to make the one who happens to resemble Aerith cry the hardest about being afraid to die. You did that on purpose!
I'm happy they died heroes who were remembered and not forgotten. I love this game so much. One of my favorite final fantasy games and endings.
良いエンディングだった。曲も最高。15:00くらいのところでFFでお馴染みのフレーズが流れるところがシビれる
The music is fitting so good. It is perfect
Makes you cry your eyes out
Just imagine if when someone died in real life, we really did forget all memories of them. It would make someone's passing less sad, but then again, it would be sad that they'd be forgotten.
very emotional and great ending, Ace is an amazing character :'(
+Amber XV Did you see the secret ending ?The one with phoenix flame could be him they look exactly alike. If there is a sequel i have confidence Ace's gonna back.
MarGhost yeah I saw it, But I thought this ending is the real one, anyway I hope he'll be back if there was 2nd Part
+MarGhost yeah maybe if they do a sequal to this, the scret ending would be canon with ace
Of course! Ace is like the Phoenix. He's gonna come bavk even more badass.
There is said to me a sequal
Just finished this game yesterday, I am crying, the game is so good and their sacrifice aren't wasted.. Machina and Rem though. Rem is probably the only member of class 0 alive and will pass the history
Despite the fact that the characters were all so one-dimensional that I never felt any attachment to them while playing, this scene alone actually managed to tug at the heartstrings quite a bit.
Re-watching the ending cause it's not just classmates, they are a family, and don't wanted to lose each other.
I never got around to finishing this game and just came to see the ending. Instant regret, I am now sobbing.
THAT FEELING IN 15:02 ! COOL FF MAIN THEME PLAYED IN ELECTRIC GUITAR !
I wonder where can i download this song with FF themed included because original version have no FF theme included..
It's because a game version is a completed version and it's original.
no matter what how many times i see this ending, still makes me cry, for me its my favorite game of all, based on the story, its so epic and so sad at the same time
I agree with you there, most would go for FF7 or FF6, but I love Type-0 the most! The emotions that crawl into your heart from this games is very well done.
TABATA ALWAYS DOES THIS SHIT!!!
Killing the character you played as gives the more heart breaking feeling *SOBBING*
ZACK, THESE 12, I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHEN I PLAYED XV!
The final campfire scene hits me in the feels really hard knowing that Noctis has to die in order to stop Ardyn.
Tabata is the master of heart torture indeed
How 2 be tabata: kill all the protagonists, quit the company after u direct an extremely subpar game which leads to cancelling all but one of the remaining dlc.
15:03 I love the touch of the Final Fantasy main theme here. It's quite a unique take on the classing main theme
For a limited time, you can watch the official video of this theme song (BUMP OF CHICKEN/ZERO).This one is also wonderful. Please take a watch!

"There are so many stories where a brave hero decided to give their life to save the day.
And because of their sacrifice, the good guys win. The survivors cheers and everybody lives happily ever after.
But the hero never get to see that ending. They will never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference.
They will never know if the day was trully saved.
In the end, they just have to have faith.
Ain't that a bitch."

Me: Zack death is the saddest character death in final fantasy
Square: hold my sake..... Ok never mind, we cannot make something sadder.
Me: See?-
Square: But we can make something as sad, and multiply it by twelve.
Me:.....wait what?
Just finished the game
my heart is a mess right now :(
@@phoenixedits8960 thats why the secret ending will always be the "canon" ending for me
lol we literally have to endure Aerith death before Zack.
May be one the best end of all games I have completed.
Perfect Music, perfect transition !

the wind blowing showing the banner made of their capes tied together to their weapons while ace's cad turn to dust is so beautiful that gives me the biggest of chills
The best ending of Final Fantasy series.

Shanice Runarune "crysis core"
@turenaxe
Ah yes, crisis core too
Song starts at 10:53 (English translation included).
It was confirmed in post game material released afterwards that years after this happened, as Machina was dying the first people he saw moments before his death wasn’t his brother...it was Class Zero with Ace extending his hand to Machina to welcome him back home.

Everytime I see this I want to cry... This is probably my favorite Final Fantasy Game ever...
@15:03 I listened to the original version, like the album version, so I though I hallucinated hearing “Final Fantasy’s Theme” in their song.
I am happy to say…”I KNEW IT!”
It's a very sad ending no matter how many times I watch it. Whats more sad about it is that the one who betrayed them many times machina lived peacefully while the rest of class 0 who fought for the world died😥
Man, when the Final Fantasy theme played at 15:02, I started to cry so hard when I played this the first time.
And guess what, the character who betrayed us and the character who we thought it was going to die from the beginning of the game, was actually the ones who lived in the end... PLOT TWIST!!!
3:08 Moogle abuse.....
+TheSingingBUn Moogle also have been abused so much in FFXIII-2.. "Moogle Throw" ability haha
刘家福 I know right?
"moogle were not harmed making of this video game" xD
Still Throwing your teacher single handedly was funny.
15:02 that FF main theme always hit me so hard
Final fantasy has been breaking my heart for years
Cried the most because machina was still alive
I cried because it sucked when he was still alive.
Tide Zeus
*Whoosh*
Hear that?
That's the sound of the joke going right over that head of yours.
Will never forget this ending one of the best ive ever seen in a videogame. it hits so hard great work its burned into my brain
Whats with square here lately making us bawl our eyes out, first crisis core, now this.
Both games made by Tabata, so that's just how he does his games.
And.... FFXV, Leave it to Tabatha lol
I love to call this game Final Fantasy: The Depression.
Cause that’s just all you end up with after finishing this game.
This ending was very sad,
But after the alternate ending makes me even sadder,
Cuz class 0 wish for a normal school life could only happen in their dream.
This, FFXV, and FF7 Crisis Core....
I don't even know which is sadder anymore
One thing I know, I never stop crying whenever I see these scenes....
Tabata is behind all of them, that's why.. a genius, he left SQEX after FFXV. I loved the way he worked !
15:02
The melody from here has a valuable arrangement that is only recorded in the game
Every time I watch this I cry sooooooooo much because i absolutely love all the characters. (Especially Cinque, Nine, Cater, Sice Queen, and Ace.)
15:04 it's final fantasy theme
It is ok, now they are resting with Zack, Noctis and Luna :’D
And Aerith, Vivi, Tidus, Galuf, and some others i forgot about.
@@Sealularity I think the reason why he didn't mention the other characters is because Hajime Tabata directed Crisis Core and Final Fantasy XV along with FF Type-0.
@@GothicPunk007 XV wasn't really Tabata's vision, though. It seems like a Hobbit situation where Peter Jackson just had to work with what the previous director left him. Honestly, I think if Tabata worked on XV from the beginning, then it would have turned out a lot better.
Don’t forget Kurasame!
BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE DID. *SOB*
and more tears comes downs my face
Wow...I finished this game a year ago and I'm still crying when I hear the song when they died

I found Final Fantasy through Kingdom Hearts. I've played multiple games in the series now and I have learned something.
They are not afraid of killing off any character. Main character you think has everything? Die
Flower girl we all adore? Die
A class that is amazing? . . . Well, let's kill every single one and make fans cry once more.
This game should have gotten it's sequal
I respect final fantasy for having that cut throatness it's not afraid to go their
this game deserve a full remake
Meanwhile at Act 2 Chapter 9 of DFFOO...
Retrieving Dark Manikins of Class Zero.
Some grown ups are horrified, others are burst into tears
They remembered one by one their destined fates
I don't know how many times i've benn crying at this.
I Still Remember
My feels hurt too much.....
15:03 : that was classic.. really, the original version doesn't have that FF trademark instrument, really fit into this song xD
