I want to thank you immensely for taking your time to do this. I recognize that you don't have to share your knowledge, and you certainly don't have to do it for free. I love the belt, my husband loves his, and I'm sure my dogs will love their collars. Thank you thank you thank you
Amy Drossner I appreciate your kind words. It gives me heart joy to know that this video helped someone learn a new skill and that they could use that to create something. Thank YOU!
Bill Donoho thanks Bill, I'm glad you liked the video. I've used this same technique for a rifle sling, and it works great. Have fun, and keep weaving 😁
Totally superb tutorial. Just knocked myself a belt together thanks to you.. only took me 2 days, though I had loads of help from my friend Jack Daniels. Many thanks. :)
Thank you sir! It is my absolute pleasure. If you would be so kind, please stop by facebook.com/paracordguy/ and leave us a picture that would be awesome. Glad we could help, have a great day and a Merry Christmas!
I used this tutorial to make a dog collar!! Thank you so much :) heres how I did it: I measured my dog’s neck (17”), and did 1/2 a foot, for every inch of the finished product. So my long strings ended up being 25’. I made my short strings 4’ and it worked out fine. :)
Alaina Grace glad to hear this video could be of service. Be sure to add something that will easily break away if this is around anything’s neck for safety reasons. Thanks for watching.
Hey! This is amazing!! I am selling paracord items as well, and I just had a customer bring in a 3 piece belt buckle set, and I needed something that was an easy and simply made tutorial to explain it and BRAVO!!! Great tutorial and walkthrough, thank you so much!!!
Thank you for the instruction...if I might suggest something. Using the same color makes this video a little confusing visually. Might I suggest using three different colors of paracord. Not only will the end result be visually more appealing, but it will also help visually being able to tell which of the cords you are currently weaving.
Thank you very much for this tutorial! I'm glad I read through the comments and found the way to do a two color one. You did a great job with the video. I ended mine differently and I hope one day in the future you will consider doing a video on how you normally would end it. Thanks again for the great tutorial.
I guess im randomly asking but does someone know a trick to get back into an Instagram account? I was stupid lost my account password. I love any help you can give me
@Vicente Andrew thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Made my first belt off your great tutorial thanks for the info. The belt I made was 56” just gonna have to do better with figuring out cord to measurements.
Thanks for the video I really like the way you did it from the back and the easy way you ended the belt. It was a bit hard to keep up with you in the start, but that is why they make a pause and rewind button. I have a grandson that is a TX Rangers fan and I am going to make this belt with red, white and blue. Thanks again for the video
Thanks good video. I wanted to mention at Harbor Freight the offer a Merlin spike for knot tying. They have it labeled plumb line. Thought you might like that;)
Hello, Good work and above all excellent explanation, but I only have one question; about how much should the paracord measures be? to craft a belt like that 47.24 inch. Thank you...
I think building paracord items in multi colors makes the project easier to understand the methods used. Great video but I did gain a few more gray hairs trying to figure out some of the steps used, Thanks.
Wayne that's definitely a great idea, we used this solid color option because it was for one of our Facebook giveaway winners who requested solid coyote brown.
This video is pure 24karat gold. Just spotted that there are only 6 comments. Wow. No comprendo. Anyway, i acutally wrote to ask what weave you normally do in the end. Or if you just stop it there? I am thinking about adding a bit of quick deployable lenght to the belt, instead of that rattler endie. Preferrably the zipper sinnet since it's the only quickdeploy i know of that can be partially deployed in case i only need 2 feet of cord :) I know i'd end up with two pieces of cord if i partially deploy it. But rather that, than the all or nothing quickdeployweaves
Lifeisawheelie thanks for the kind words. the knot I usually use is a little difficult to explain. it's just something I developed over the past 6 years doing this stuff, I'd honestly love to share it but there's realky no way I could word but properly so that anyone would understand. best of luck with your quick deploy, let me know how it works :)
I'm wanting to ask about any info on a size 40 belt length on the paracords sizes/lengths I'm interested in making a just a bit shorter belt. Like the weaves
ok I have to ask somewhere so here goes. Very good instructional video you have. I've been watching videos on belt building and everyone cuts end nearly flush and burns ends. This holds up over time under use without unraveling?
Fartificial Insmelligence thank you I'm glad you enjoyed it. I can't say with the snake onot, never tried it. give it a shot and let us know 😀 awesome name by the way lol
Misty C. That’s a tough call! I’ve never really looked at the way a cowboy belt buckle attaches to a belt. This style is designed for a roller buckle, that much I know for sure. It needs to have the keeper go through the entire belt. Perhaps you could weave in grommet holes that will help keep the buckle in place? Wish I could be more helpful, thanks for watching and Merry Christmas!
He moves too fast I can't catch on to it I'm kind of getting it but I don't know how to come up from the left side toward hangs down next to the other cord
jerome taylor sorry. We go through the initial weave pretty fast and cover all of the bases. Go through it again and see if it helps. Thanks for watching.
What lengths to I need to make the the cords making a 42 inch belt so middle 42 feet then what for the next I under stand 20 and 5 but what would I make those for me
Hey Paracord Guy I am roughly 11 minutes into your video and doing great. However, I have only one spot at the beginning of my belt where the two strands are connected and your belt seems to be staying together just fine. Am I missing something or will the two weaves be tied together more along the way?
Last time I let paracord do it's own thing I woke up in my neighbors backyard with a very sore ass. I still can't remember what that paracord did to me on that crazy summer night. I'm probably better off.
Stephen 1982 that sounds pretty awful. I'd highly recommend speaking with a trained therapist, the effects of a traumatic incident like that can have serious repercussions if they aren't worked through. Just remember, it's not your fault, you are the victim. Best of luck.
Ok so I worked the other problem out on my own. Unfortunately, I have a new one:) The beauty stitch just seems to appear on your belt and mine is just flat on the front. Do you know what I'm wrong?
I would guess you wove it the opposite way than this. It's an easy thing to do, most folks weave them like that anyway. Try it again if you like, it will work fine as a belt either way. Congrats and thanks for watching!
No disrespect indended or anything, just another way to start at the buckle, a slipknot (in case of smaller lenghts of rope) instead of needing a 40 foot length of rope you can use two 20 foot pieces. And an added bonus of 6 different colo(u)rs, i made one like this for a gay friend was only 1 color short and thanks to your video ofcourse
Question. I made this belt over the last few days and I screwed up the length. I have a 36 waste and my finished belt is 41 inches but has maybe two inches to spare once on. Is there any way to remedy this and make it longer? Or am I going to have to make a new one?
Thanks for the question, and to answer that technically Yes you can. You'd need to unravel the belt back a few inches. and take every strand you have and add the same color paracord by melting the ends and welding them together. this can be tricky, but if you do it right it can be nearly unnoticeable. you can always gift or sell your current belt to offset the cost you incur from the materials. good luck and thanks again for the question.
One more thing, I've been told by fashion forward folks that a belt need only 2-3 inches left over to be a properly fitted belt. not sure if you want to go through the trouble of extending it if it fits and you have a few inches left over that should be just about perfect. cheers
+The Para-Cord Guy Ty for the reply. It did fit, but I only had maybe am inch I'm excess. I ended up kinda doing what you said, except I kinda did a variation of the manny method except for only one end of the cord. It worked out and I extended it around 4 inches.

Bill Donoho thanks Bill, I'm glad you liked the video. I've used this same technique for a rifle sling, and it works great. Have fun, and keep weaving 😁
I don't make belts. I make wrap bracelets. However, I've learned a lot about incorporating different knots into them from your tutorials. Thanks!

We have photos of a 2 tone on our website. It's simple to do, just swap out the center hank with a different color.

If I have 36 in the waist, which is about 94 cm, how many centimeters do I have to have a paracord?

so you think this would be possible with a 3 mated snake knot? or is the snake knot too stretchy?

Love the belt and video was great I'm going to convert to gun harness

What lengths to I need to make the the cords making a 42 inch belt so middle 42 feet then what for the next I under stand 20 and 5 but what would I make those for me
Brittnee Ciccarello we explained all that in the Video.
Why didn't you just o a cobra weave for the belt loop twice. It would match much better than a single loop.
Dennis Jones I've done that before, but the single loop works fine. Feel free to do yours that way.
How much paracord would you recommend for a 50inch belt??? Is there a calculation you can advise to how much cordage is needed per inch of belt???
The calculation is explained in this video.
Hmm what basic knots did you used larks head and square only ?? Am I rihght?
Jonh Vic Lorejo probably. I have no idea what they’re called, I just know if you do them enough times you get a belt when you stop.
Hey Paracord Guy I am roughly 11 minutes into your video and doing great. How much rope do you need to make the belt ??? How long is each pair of ropes???
Marcos Javier Torres we covered that in the video around 1:30
If I want to make 36' long, how many feet long I need for the each side? thanks!
Liven R Just use the same exact lengths mentioned in this video and you'll have enough.
What length belt will you end up with using the lengths of cord used in the video?
About 40" total. Give or take an inch or 2.
Thanks for watching.
Sorry Mate I was trying to comment on Swedish Emilie's rope making efforts on the DVD before yours
Bob Ferguson well I guess that makes more sense. Lol.
Would you mind showing your setup for this?
Jerel Brewington I wouldn't mind, it's just a matter of getting the chance to do it.
These always remind me of rainbow loom
No disrespect indended or anything, just another way to start at the buckle, a slipknot (in case of smaller lenghts of rope) instead of needing a 40 foot length of rope you can use two 20 foot pieces.

But would that go through the belt holding holes (vertical holding)
SHUBHAM PATIL I’m not sure I understand the question. But thank you for watching.
@@Paracordguy sorry I meant the belt loops, the belt looks thick so thought it wouldn't pass through belt loops
SHUBHAM PATIL oh ok. No this will slide through easy enough and stay in place. I wear one daily.
I don't understand the five foot care for part where does the five foot pieces go
Drew war it's what you weave over. It's all explained better in the video than I could in text.
What type of cord is good for making the belt?
Laila Abdelsalam Paracord...
Thanks bro amazing

50'
The Para-Cord Guy would it be 50' core and 35' sides? i am looking to do one as well. and have the same measurements. lol
The Para-Cord Guy like
35 50 35?
30/50/30
The Para-Cord Guy so the set up would be: 20' 10' 25' 25' 10' 20'
(as where you had it 20' 5' 20' 20' 5' 20' from left to right) thanks in advance
