- Join me on a real time driving tour of The Woodlands, Texas. The Woodlands is a suburb located 28 miles north of Houston, Texas. Unlike Houston, which is primarily located in Harris County, The Woodlands is primarily located in Montgomery County, Texas. The Woodlands has a population of roughly 100,000 people.
The Woodlands has both houses and businesses. Many companies are located in the Woodlands, Texas and there are also hotels and convention spaces. There are also restaurants along an area with waterways.
The Woodlands, Texas is a master planned community. The Woodlands is also a corporation, which in 2011 was sold to the Howard Hughes Development Company.

No above ground utilities (Poles and wires) and low to the ground business signage are just two of the things that make The Woodlands more pleasant to be in. Then you have the heavy trees and shrubbery along the road. A lot of the stores are out of sight from the road. I rented a garage apt there for $600 a month 21 years ago. Of course I was nowhere "rich" enough to actually live there in a house of my own. Very wealthy area.

@@maryvhuse1721 in 21 years pretty much everything is changed down there. I was on the street called Nickaburr Creek. The intersection of 2978 and 1478? I'm told it's totally unrecognizable now to anyone who hasn't seen it in the past 20 or so years. The address was technically Magnolia texas, however you can throw a football and hit the woodlands from the backyard

What is there to do, how are schools, people, shopping, dining, jobs, entertainment, weather (how's the humidity) etc. My wife and I are looking to relocate there with our 2 boys (10 and 2) and getting some input from someone who lives there would be great

That's Lake Woodlands, just across that bridge to the left is Northshore Park. Lots of ducks. Lol. I recognize those art pieces located at various points along the road. It's strange to see this on RUclips.

What do people do for fun, is it a family friendly area, how are the people, schools, shopping, dining, jobs? My wife and are are looking to relocate with our 2 boys (10 and 2) and The Woodlands is on our short list
