I love the wall color, and I imagine it will feel fresh and airy in the hot summer months! I think green cabinets would look fantastic. Take a couple olive leaves with you to the paint store and match them - sky and trees, reflected in your kitchen ❤

You’re progressing right along. I love the sliding door for the bathroom. I’m excited to see the vinyl flooring after it installed in the kitchen and bathroom. You’ve made some wonderful meals, it actually made me hungry.
My advice for the cabinets is if you paint them to use a darker, deeper tone of the wall paint for the base cabinets and a slightly darker tone of the wall paint for the upper cabinets. That way the colors won't fight each other but add some interest to the kitchen. Mushroom wall paint is a good neutral with more warmth than white. Then you can do a backsplash tile that adds personality and gives some variation to the kitchen color.
We have a few solar panels. The tiny house is mostly off-grid (apart from the water) but we do need to add a few more. Greenhouse may be good but we may start with cold boxes first as they are easier to Make ❤️

Since the wall paint ended up more blue, I'd go with a darker blue for the base cabinets. If you do upper cabinets/shelves they could be wood to match the door, ceiling, or painted white. (Also not a designer, but that's what I would do 😊). It's so exciting to see the crazy amount of progress you're making! I know there's always another job waiting to be done, but take a minute to BASK in your accomplishments when this phase is completed. 🎉

@@TheIndigoEscape I’ve had my boiler on an external wall under a roof overhang for over 20 years. No problems. I’m in northern Florida and our climates are very similar. The boilers if it is gas powered must be ventilated.

I cant believe how much you’ve both been able to accomplish since the onset of this huge project. If I’m correct, I believe in 2019, we’ll definitely before Covid. Here I was looking at the rein’s rubbles wondering for $30K living in a container, is it worth it? I can honestly say, you two are amazing at what you’ve been able to accomplish. I love it!!! Cool, I also have a Mozmose Filtersystem since 2022, my youngest son installed it. I only use that water for cooking and so on. I had the first change of the remineralyser.

Brilliant videos and great work ethic. I have contemplated moving to Portugal for 12 months now so I need to visit or have a few short breaks to get the feel. I am 60 now so need to make my mind up plus, count the pennies up!. Do you have a problem with mould out there as I have heard and seen some nasty infestations?. Cheers.
Thank you very much for your support. I would really recommend hiring a car and driving around. Portugal is a small country and wouldn't take much to get a 'feel' for each region. It all depends on your budget (highest prices in the Algarve, Lisbon and Porto surroundings), your preferred climate, how close you want to be to amenities, how close you want to be to airports or cities... That would narrow down your search significantly. A lot of the older houses here aren't build properly to the weather. The newer ones for sure are but they are pricier. So we opted for a ruin that we could renovate to our needs, including a great deal of insulation and weather-proofing. We are even going to bring damp course from the UK because we can't find it here. Im not sure about nasty infestations, I haven't heard of anything of such. Damp is however a great enemy to many here. If you want more info or have more questions, feel free to email us at contact@theindigoescape.com.
We are both non-British so both had to jump through hoops to live in the UK. Now in Portugal is taking 2 years to get your citizenship and 6-8 months to get residency but that's just what it is... Unfortunately we live in a globalised world with so much migration and outdated border laws.

Do one tone darker than what is on the walls. Same family just darker but not super dark😊
Kitchen cupboards can be dark blue or a beautiful baby blue that has a undertone on green. Love love watching your content, you inspire me 💯🙂
