"The silence of this predatory world speaks for itself" (7:55) Indeed. I am not so impressed with the commentator who talks a lot but does not say very much. Summarizing: as we all know: sharks are predators. And, like most forms of life, opportunistic. Much respect for the cameramen.

Guy said "common scavengers.... Outsmarted by their unders" i encourage anyone to observe a shark in its natural habitat if the opportunity ever comes up. They do not disappoint
I found the electricity sound effects to be really distracting and kind of silly. It was also a little distracting that most of the music was bits and derivatives of the "Requiem for a Dream" soundtrack, by Clint Mansell.
Awesome docu! One of the few on RUclips about sharks I haven't seen. They are beautiful animals. To me, the most beautiful in the world, and my favorite. The only thing I don't like about this docu is that is claims they are simply "common scavengers", a description that brings to mind funny-ass WW2-era Navy training reels, which claimed that sharks are cowardly and splashing will scare them away lol! In fact, while sharks are indeed scavengers, as all predators are, they are also IMHO the best predators on the planet, with an vast array of sensory organs for detecting prey from miles away, even in murky, polluted water, and I'd stake my life on the belief that any terrestrial predator and even many aquatic predators would turn green with envy when confronted with the shark's 6th, 7th and 8th senses, giving them their mighty powers of predation! xP Anyway, this show pwns! Thanks for posting!
Did not see Giant Trevally getting the spotlight in a shark documentary but I got hyped up during this part. few fish are as bad as the GT they are not a fish you would think would prey on things like turtle, and birds rumore has it that they may even target dolphin calves and yet it takes two black tips to catch one baby turtle the blacktips completely were out competed by the baddest Fish in the ocean Giant Trevally
Thanks for sharing this extraordinary documentary on sharks that are considered one of the most successful predators of the sea and New Caledonia lagoon is a paradise for these species.🐟🐡
There was a misspeak at 46:35 about hagfish. Stated by the narrator that hagfish have only been around 5 million years and that it has been around long before any other fish… correctly: the approximate length stems back 500 million years.
i remember watching this i used to love sharks so much

Sharks are integral components of marine ecosystems, playing multifaceted roles as both apex predators and scavengers
