I find this so inspiring 😊 I’m a high school student trying to find out what I want to do with my inspiring art career, your videos have given me so many ideas and motivation. Thank you so much☺️
You are truly amazing, the amount of work and organization needed to keep running a shop like yours is huge and you're killing it ! Wishing you only the best :)
i love you arts so much and your videos are very calming to watch ❤✨ how i wish i know how to draw or illustrate coz i always wanted a stationary business. 😢
Hi! Loved this vlog! Can you tell me where the shelf unit that you have your Cricut on is from please? We are outgrowing our space and moving soon into a new studio space and I think this would be ideal! Thanks!
I'd like to know how all the small business owners manage the orders/deliveries? Is it a one-time process per shop update, or do you keep making and delivering products throughout the year according to the demand? I have never seen anyone covering this topic. If I were to open a small shop my biggest challenge would be fulfilling all orders. It will not be profitable if I have to keep making 1-2 products instead of making them in bulk. Also, it'll be super challenging to keep the stock ready.
I keep my shop open year round but I generally only restock super popular things. I usually do around 4/5 updates a year and spend a lot of time packing orders after that but then between updates its quieter in terms of order packing which gives time design new things and work on the next update :) Mostly you just adjust to certain demands and the day to day changes over time as general shopping habits do.
Do you make everything yourself in your studio or do you have a vendor that sends the supplies? Also any tips for someone wanting to start their own stationery business? Items we may need to buy?
I design and illustrate everything myself and make some things (prints, sticker sheets etc.) but I use different manufacturers to produce products that are harder for me to do. A good printer is definitely a good place to start! If you can start out making simple things like prints, cards, and even hand cut stickers you can eventually use that profit to invest in other equipment or stock depending on the sort of things you want to make :)
Oh noo 😭 I'm not planning on doing more pre-orders at the moment but I did order extra of them and they will be listed when the pre-orders are fulfilled 🥺
I love your studio vlogs, they're so relaxing to watch. I loved the colours of tape you were using in your Dymo label maker - any chance you have a link for them? I checked the description in case you have an Amazon affiliate list they'd be on but couldn't see one. Looking forward to receiving the order I placed recently as it was my first one in a while - I finally got frames for all my prints and realised I needed to upgrade my Autumn Essentials print to make sure I had the version that goes with the others. Now I've got a small wish list of other things I want from watching you unpack all the different items in this video! 😅
