    I also want to build one like yours. But I may use a different smart bms. Please kindly advise what the maximum space left for the bms is.

      If your BMS in original battery is kaput, then you need to install a new one. It's impossible to get original one, so you have to go with generic one plus Yamaha BMS dongle. I have separate video about it.

    How do you turn on the pairing of the Smart BMS on the battery..? I know how to pair things with my smart phone, but the battery doesn't have a button to turn on pairing function...

      With the power switch on the battery. When this battery is turned on, BMS starts the Bluetooth module.

      @@LierskogenEbikes Thanks.. I just ordered 2 new batteries for my recumbent trike... they are the 52v 19.2ah Tesla 21700... And they have SMART BMS .
      I'm anxious to see if they deliver 47% more range and up to 80% more power... UPP has a great reputation.. Cheers

    Hello, I'm planning to install the CYC X1 PRO 2 on my fatbike. I live in Switzerland in the mountain and what mainly use it during winter time uphill with some load. What will you recommend as a setup to get a maximum of torque as the high speed is not such interesting in this case. Idea of setup with battery and controller is BAC2000 + 48v = 4000W or BAC855 + 72V = 3200 W. What would be the best setup in my case ?

      Motor with BAC855 has much more clean layout than BAC2000. BAC2000 is bulky and has bad cables arrangement sticking out of the box. I'm happy with BAC855 on my fatbike. Really I don't need more power from this motor. For BAC2000 you will need special battery to deliver high current of more than I recon 50A-60A continously to see a real difference from BAC855. People don't say it but output from this BAC2000 controller is very affected by the battery. BAC855 is limited to provide max 90A in the peak, but BAC2000 can give up to 220A peak.

      @@LierskogenEbikes : thanks for your feedback on the controller. What will you then recommend with Controller BAC855 as a battery setup ? In consideration, that I will not do much Km (20km max). Will a 52v 65A 12Ah be a good choice, any thoughts ?

      @@michaelmagnin Range depends a lot on your riding style with PAS or Throttle. With 72V 14Ah on my Fatbike I can get up to 80 km range on medium power levels (not exceeding 1 kW peak).

    What spot welder are you using?

    • @LierskogenEbikes
      @LierskogenEbikes  3 года назад

      I bought it from one guy in Poland. He is building and selling this spot welder for battery builders and car sheet metal workers. You will not find his shop in Internet.

      It is possible to get some kind of contact to him? I'm Polish. You inspired me to make my own batteries and bikes and I would like to keep going. If you could share contact for this guy will be fantastic.
      Thank you
