He seems to specifically be referring to Korra being able to physically grab Aang and punch him into submission, so out of 10 fights, she'll probably be able to grab him or connect a powerful combo, one time out of ten attempts, which lends more to luck than skill. Aang is much faster than Korra and specializes in evasion and counters, he seems to just keep dodging and then take advantage of openings to do critical hits. So a failed attack would likely end up with a painful counter.
+Daniel Rosales Aang would win. In ATLA we saw him in the avatar state fighting Ozai and he was MUCH more powerful than Korra has ever been in the avatar state. Not to mention he has access to all of the past avatars. I mean I don't know if that helps physically but they have good advice right? Plus Aangs just a frickin boss.
+Ibushi and then the avatar state kicks in. aang had the knowledge of 1000 avatar. an korra has to rely on her own knowledge. as writers like to shit on previous avatars.

guys Korra is not stronger. if anything she needed so much help to defeat every single villain she can't win a 1v1 like Aang did with Ozai. against amon, she had Mako and plus amon could have killed her a while ago by taking her bending away and killing her with blood bending when she told him to come get her. Zaheer could have killed Korra if it weren't for the airbenders who made the tornado. In the last season against kuviera she couldn't beat that stupid machine... Aang single handedly destroyed Commander Zjao's navy when he turned into that crazy spirit in the water and he only knew water bending back then he didn't use any other element... Korra is pathetic
