As someone who has been living in Japan for almost 20 years, I find it very frustrating that people like that are coming here and giving the impression that many foreigners are like that. Sad and frustrating.

I know that there are foreigners like you whom I can respect and empathize with as a Japanese person.
For the sake of people like you, the Japanese government and administration should strictly enforce the law to prevent prejudice and discrimination against foreigners in Japan, but they are not doing so.
I hope you will not be attacked or disadvantaged by mistake.
Well, if you have already been living in Japan for 20 years respecting Japanese rules, you should call yourself a Japanese, not a foreigner (laughs).

I want to go one day to Japan and take some pictures with people, or pictures like street photography etx. It looks like I will not be able to do most of them, if these things gonna keep escalating the way they are. I feel sorry especially for Kyoto citizens and also for the conbini store spot located near Fuji mountain - as these two spots are the main are of recent scandals. I am really frustrated with this.

I've been to Japan recently for the first time in my life. An amazing country, super polite people. And I truly despise the disrespectful behaviours of some/many tourists. Those shown in the video are absolutely disgusting. When people will finally understand that if you travel to some other country, you are a guest, you should respect the local culture and customs. I fully agree with the restrictions imposed by Japanese authorities, I even think they should be more strict with the police and fines. Seriously, if you want to see Mt Fuji, a temple, anything else, just be grateful for this opportunity and do NOT act as if you were ENTITLED to do so! Exactly this attitude pisses me off so much. Japanese can restrict access to areas, they can build fences, they can give fines and (hopefully) put to jail, because it it their home, their country and they set the rules - not some stupid, obnoxious tourists! These should apply to any other place in the world, maybe then some people will finally learn, that their behaviour is wrong and they aren't entitled to anything... 😒😒😒

And whenever I see tourists do dumb things, I’m like “really?”. To prove my case, the other day I was at the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, and theres a level crossing on a main railway line. There a signs LITERALLY saying, “DO NOT WALK ON TRACKS TO TAKE PICTURES”. And what did I see people doing? Exactly that! Like Okay, just stand there when the railroad crossing activates. My point is, not everyone is bad, but these kinds of people give tourists a bad rep.

This is so frustrating. Terrible tourists and RUclipsrs are ruining my country. I love when there are tourists and RUclipsrs who respect my culture and follow Japan’s societal rules, but it seems like a lot of tourists aren’t doing that and are taking advantage of the Japanese people. It’s absolutely disgusting. On top of that, there are certain people on the internet promoting bad behavior or encouraging followers to prey on Japanese women specifically because they’re thought to be “submissive”. That’s why I don’t tell people I’m Japanese anymore because when I do, they start asking me very personal questions and the way they look at me completely changes. It’s very frustrating and I hope tourists and RUclipsrs make an effort to learn more about a country before they visit, and I hope any bad behavior is corrected or punished.

The whole "submissive" idea spawned from a dumb meme from I think last year. Just ignore people who say that unironically, they're all Internet dependent morons that don't go outside or have real human interaction.

Japanese need to toughen up and push back. They are too docile.

Now imagine japanese person in american walking by the school and yelling "columbine", or walking in NYC and yelling 9/11, there would be nation wide drama

Also many Chinese and Korean RUclipsrs are shouting Fukushima, but rate of radiation is higher in Seoul. When they 're not satisfied with their countries, they want to disgrace others. So shame 😢😢

They really make it hard for regular tourists to enjoy the wonders of Japan because of their bad behavior. Obnoxious jerks.

there so many kick streamers that go over to japan and harass geishas and japanese people in public. I saw one dude who followed a geisha for so long asking her rude questions, and she looked scared.

It makes me sad that people are so bloody disrespectful in other countries. When I was in Japan I was so careful to be as small and unobtrusive as possible. I was there to enjoy the place and the culture, not to try to influence it. Leave as you find, as they say. I quickly adapted to the cross-walks being flippin' everywhere and just learned to do what others did. Not complicated!

Due to a recent incident where a Chinese tourist used a drone to photograph a Japanese "aircraft carrier" at a Japanese naval base, it has sparked discussions in Japanese society about the lax management of the military. Yes, it was just a tourist who captured the full view of their most bad ass weapon😂
