I did the same thing my freshman year of high school. We had to send a professional letter to a company and see if they’ll give you something in return. I emailed NFL shop and told them that I was also a giants fan. They ended up giving me a giants mug, giants sweatshirt, and a box of cards.
We did this in high school too. A lot of people wrote into companies and got a bunch of coupons. I wrote in to Hersheys suggesting an idea, only to receive a letter stating "we don't accept product ideas from outside sources" and they sent me A TON of chocolate..... and coupons -_-
I sent my resume to a handful of teams looking for Head Coaches. Citing my Madden and Flag Football creds and stats. And received we will keep you on file letters from Dallas, Jets, and Saints. All framed and on the wall.
lmao. To be fair, Arizona is far from a flat state. There are some super high altitude cities and towns in AZ that get extremely cold in the winter. Flagstaff, which is a bit over 2 hour drive north of Phoenix, is the 2nd snowiest city in the entire country(city being defined as minimum population 50k). It's also home to the largest continuous pine forest in the country. And the lowest recorded temperature in AZ was -40 degrees in the White Mountains in eastern AZ. Even soutbern AZ has no shortage of "sky islands" too. Most people with limited knowledge of the state think of AZ as purely a desert state, but you'd be surprised how much the landscape and climate changes. For example, the top of the grand canyon can be covered in snow from a huge blizzard(which looks beautiful btw) but inside the canyon at the bottom it can be up to 30 degrees warmer than at the top due to the difference in elevation.
@@KingNekro To your point too about people thinking it's purely a "desert state", thinking desert climates are always hot is also a mistake people frequently make. A significant portion of Alaska, unbeknownst to a lot of people that didn't grow up there, is considered a desert climate. I knew Flagstaff got a lot of snow, but I didn't know they are that high on snowfall precipitation lists! That's wild
They probably have a stock pile of scarfs in their merch warehouses and gave one to him because literally no one would buy a scarf from an Arizona team lol 😂
I"m gonna say i was kinda surprised of so many sent that so few autographs. It used to be you'd write the team (or even a specific player) and they'd go out of their way to get you a player signature, and even if they couldn't get you who you wanted, they'd get a signature from someone (usually on a 3x5 photo), you'd usually get a not-so-recognized player, but it was a legitimate signatured photo/card. but i guess that was then and this is now. Although some serious props to the Arizona scarf for something so unique.
I tried asking the lions if they could get Jared Goff to autograph a football card of him, if not merch, they responded, but said that they don't ask players to autograph (didnt give anything, not even pocket schedules), but told me to try and ask Jared Goff himself rather than the Lions organization for the autograph. Just sent the card out today and am hoping for the best :)
NFL licensing and union agreements don't allow teams to facilitate player autographs. The Broncos got around that by sending out the autographs of players long retired. Really cool of them.
Hey Phillip... you met my partner Coach Mad Mike today at the game.. I'm the other half of the Football Psyche team, and we DEFINITLEY want to collaborate with you!!! You got a new sub!
The post-it note letting you know a human actually involved themselves in the process was fantastic. Forget about what they send you, and consider that aspect. I like the fact the Jaguars sent stuff you can wear. Like its cool to have a laser autograph, but if you're a fan dedicated enough to request items you might not be able to buy on your own with a handwritten letter, you're probably the type in a normal circumstance (unlike the video) to wear that gear till the color runs out. So shoutout to them for actually understanding how to do outreach while pushing their product onto us mobile billboards. I've been to a Cardinals game in their stadium. Their organization in my experience will assault you with stuff lol. I've still got a Cardinals necktie they handed me when I walked into the stadium. It was actually pretty fire despite the fact I was very much not there for them. Handed the nice T-shirt and booklet on the team to a local fan here in WA when I returned. Seattle sending you something is a mild surprise honestly. They tend to do more outreach stuff and gameday events when it comes to fan reach out. I once sent a letter to them as a kid and a individual for the organization replied that the player unfortunately did not work for them anymore and had set a do-not-send policy when it came to anything addressed to them (they were apparently getting swamped with stuff) but that because they were a media member, they could potentially give it to him in passing when he was doing videos on the latest camp and were going to try their best! It was handwritten too.
Was hoping the team I’m an fan of would’ve sent you things but it’s okay but the teams that sent you stuff it was super cool and nice of them too do that.

I did that to the Miami dolphins
Do you remember what email it was?
Not entirely sure, I think I just looked up their company email and went from there. I did this project 5 years ago so I don’t fully remember.
How can I try this lol

I love how my broncos were the only ones to send real player autographs, and four of them. They dont mess around when it comes to the fan experience.
The Trac autograph is priceless!! Lol

Nice to see so many teams have departments who look after these kinds of requests from fans.
Usually teams are cheaper than they used to be
