    Always was a interest of mine. I like the local and community feel of this. Its not overly polished but was great work considering the bare essentials needed to do business. Its a great start and being in business for yourself, even for almost minimum wage is ALWAYS better than sucking it up to work for someone else. Its a foundation to be proud of, we are a nation of business owners. More people need to realize this and make it happen!

    Cool build. Sorry but i have to say, one thing to consider is using a "sanitary tee" on the center tee for your drain. it will divert the water to one direction instead of splashing both ways in the pipe.

      We brushed it all. I have a paint sprayer also and thought about spraying it, but it decided it would be too much taping and so we just brushed it all instead. We did not sand it, but you could based on the underlying paint condition. I can check and measure the window for you!

  • @icecreamladydriver1606

    I love it. I bought a short bus back in 2012 and converted it into an ice cream truck. I had a lot of fun with it. A year and a half ago I thought I was done with all that driving and have been using the camp trailer conversion and a cute little castle that I built and recently sold, but now I have a bus coming the end of next month. I can barely stand the wait. You guys did a great job with it and looked like you were having as much fun building it as I did. How has it all worked out for you? Are you still vending. If you would like to see my bus you can go to: learnhotdogs.com type in ice cream lady. The title will say "she builds another concession trailer". That one is a later one I did. Under that will say "How to build a concession trailer". If you click on that it will take you to some builds then my bus will show up, then a trailer I built on a 5x8 flatbed trailer. I enjoy vending but I love building. You have inspired me to actually paint the whole bus. I don't know what color yet but I will figure that out as I go and get a feel for the color it should be. Thanks for the inspiration. Great video. ps What did you use for power? I had an outside plug in a breaker box with a generator on a platform so I could use the generator for ice cream truck or plug it in to an electrical source. I would like to not have a generator but don't know how to do that.

    nice job!! seriously, thanks for sharing! Curious, did you guys get a generator and a electrical panel in the bus or are you relying on extension cords for the electrical?

      We Rely on electric cords and a plug in.....but our machine does at least work on propane and our pump on a DC battery if we absolutely need too be off grid. Feel free to subscribe as I will be doing some more updates and videos soon!

    12:29 I'm sorry but by cutting off the brackets bottom half you just uninsured all integrity that was designed into the dang thing go to a welding shop get some angle and actually weld in the shelves js

      Aluminum is tough to weld as you know, but with enough brackets, the integrity should be fine. The other thing to consider is cost. As you know, welding isn't cheap. So if the money could be spared, it should. I think how they did it was fine. Just place a couple extra along the length to make sure it's strong. The only thing I would add is some star washers to prevent backing out from the vibration over time...

    What was the cost? I’m looking at a similar bus.

    • @bekindlove
      @bekindlove  6 лет назад

      The bus itself was about 3-4000 dollars, and was about 10-12 years old with 130,000 miles,. THe whole conversion to a food truck was bout 12,000 dollars depending on equipment you put it.....
