The voice of "Bill Rondell at Sun Microsystems" is actually fairly close to Kevin's real voice, there's audio clips of Mitnick's real phonecalls. Almost every scene in the movie, INCLUDING the paranoia scene with jsz, is based on real life.
I have just watched this movie, I've never heard about it before, I think it's pretty entertaining and educative. I'm a programmer wannabe lol. (Just dabbling into 3D computer graphics)
Wow - Hollywood made our NOC HUGE! Roller blading around the NOC, oh my, that was fantastic piece of fiction. I know hollywood needs to take some liberties to make an interesting hacking movie... but wow, this is really funny.
The biggest problem with this movie is the almost total lack of background music. If they put in more background music and changed the main character's name to even something like Mevin Kitnick then it would've been a better film

And Kill Hannah is the name of the band where he gets caught with wireless wand detector in his apartment. Which is actually true. He got caught at those apartments in Raleigh, NC about an hour from where I used to live.
