- In this video we are going to take a look at how our night sky would appear if the Moon was replaced with planets of our Solar System. (Please ignore the digital noise, I don't own a prime lens right now🥲)
This video is a simple visual representation and does not take the atmospheric, gravitational etc changes into account.

Crazy how in 5 years I drove my Honda Accord for 367,000km. Past the distance to the moon. Never had a check engine light. Nothing ever broke. Engineering is a miracle
@@aaz1992my friend named Scott was an engineer and he dealt with that in just 5 years it was only really 5 hours. It's crazy how time can work

On a good day you can see Saturn through a telescope with your own eyes. Life changing experience.
But if Saturn is that near Earth our planet most likely will be a moon of the gas giant 😢

We live in such a mysterious (in a good way) universe. so much questions and curiosity like what if the moon was replaced by planets etc. It's truly amazing how far we've come with technology to explore these things and make different scenarios. Sooner or later we may explore things we never thought were possible, I mean we've come a long way as it is

I wish you did Pluto too. I know it's not a planet anymore to some people but some people think it is a planet
(To be realistic) It is really unusual that the larger gas giants will be our moons because they have a greater gravitational pull on us and our planet instead would be moon.
To be fair nobody said they would be our moon, this only shows us how it would look like if they were as far as our moon.

The jump in size from the four terrestrial planets, to Jupiter onwards, is just crazy.
This is insanely imaginative. I’m constantly fascinated by imagining how it would feel to live on a moon, so this totally makes my day. I know a lot of comments are in praise of Saturn, which makes relative sense now that the Cassini probe photographs have been shared and are in the front of people’s minds! I myself am partial to Jupiter and Neptune. Not as moons to our Earth per se, but certainly that insatiable curiosity about what it would be like to look out and have a more intimate relationship with these outer planets is only now becoming something describable. This video captures that spirit!

Honestly, I would hate having Jupiter replace our moon. It’s nice to have an open sky view. It’s fun to think if we lived on one of Jupiter’s moons that is how Jupiter would look to us! We would worship Jupiter likely. Another crazy idea, is that normal solar flares are something like 11 times the size of Earth. Don’t quote me on that, it’s probably even greater.
