Was hard to trust complete strangers, even old ladies and kids, as they begged me to follow them home so they could feed me, show me their pets or loved ones!!! As an American Muslim I can honestly say the Palestinian people have been some of the most warm, strong, and humble people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
I'm Palestinian and many of our neighbours were black Palestinians. During my elementary school years, my best friend Sabir was black, and he lived halfway between my home and school. Most days when walking to school, I would pass by his home, his mother would give each of us us a cup of sweet mint tea and a dry tea cake, and after about 5 minutes, we would head off to school together. I live in a different country now but visit family in Palestine once or twice a year. Sabir and I are still friends to this day, and he is usually one of the first to come to welcome me back. Sweet memories.

I'm from Chicago too, Southside. Many of my high school classmates were Palestinian. Cool as cucumbers and low key reminded me of Black folks. That was my first impression. Even as I've gotten older, I've never sensed prejudice from Palestinians toward me. Nice video. Everyone was cool and friendly.

LOL I stayed at a hotel... Difference in culture and social norms. In Palestine, it is not uncommon that any Black man may find himself hugged and touched affectionately by complete strangers throughout his day JUST having day to day conversation while traveling or working. That doesn’t happen in America and Europe. When people touch you, it makes you feel seen, like you matter and are worthy of love. The man I spoke was not used to getting touched in America and realized the difference when he traveled to Palestine.

In Palestine, it is not uncommon that any Black man may find himself hugged and touched affectionately by complete strangers throughout his day JUST having day to day conversation while traveling or working. The man I spoke was not used to getting touched in America and realized the difference when he traveled to Palestine.

Here in the USA I never see anything good about the Palestinian people. This is so nice, you are doing a great job putting a human face on these lovely people and their culture. So many friendly faces. I'm Black American and we are misrepresented around the world too. However people are more alike than different God bless you for showing the true people. 💖

I am a Palestinian I want to tell you something. When an occupation comes it takes your house. Will you look at it? Of course no there are no times that clashes take place with stones. Soldiers of the occupation always enter our homes at night to intimidate children and hit young men
western media always portray muslim countries as backward and violent, i've met this american man who told me and my colleagues that his family initially didn't want him to take a job in my country (malaysia) because they said muslims will kill him. he was so surprised when he came to my country and everyone treated him with love and respect.
