I used to listen to heavy metal in the 80s But I got saved in 2010. However Tear it up is one of my favorite songs. I keep listening to it all the time. I really like that song and the words. Sometimes I feel bad that I like heavy songs like that but I know Jesus knows how I am. And Kutless r serious Christians. They played at a church one time in Butler Pennsylvania one time a few years back at a church and they played that song and then The power went out. They were so awesome picking up acoustic guitars and finishing out the night with a super concert. It was great. And I got to meet them. Thank u so much for the way U ended up playing all night and ministering to us. How awesome. U r my favorite band. Thank u and Praise God. 😊

The hard rock of classic Kutless has returned. This album is all I ever wanted from them.
EPIC! Saw Kutless last Sat night at Spirit Fest in Las Vegas NV. Awesome Testimony! Every song on this album is Awesome! God Rules!
Kutless is amazing whether its their worship music or rock Kutless is great. sure people have their music taste but you can't deny that Kuless is full of Great humble musicians. if you can do more than one genre of music you're a pretty good musician. keep rockinfor the Rock guys!

I had almost given up on Kutless. They've been my favorite group for years now, but when album after album started coming out with the "new" sound, I started looking for a new favorite group. Just in time Surrender came out and reinstated my faith in and love for Kutless. It's like coming home. Please keep bringing it back!

Ah so Kutless can still do quality rock music then not just samey middle of the road worship music (I do like their last 2 albums but much prefer the hard rocking Kutless of old big-time!). Promising signs for the newie then.

After the terrible, disappointing albums that were Believer and Glory, Kutless is finally back with a rocking sound.

I hated Glory, and Believer. Both albums were terrible, and the songs were nothing but crappy worship music. Kutless is a rock band, not a worship/gospel one.
+TheChuckinator apparently you didnt listen to both albums all the way through man because that wasn't worship music. technically the only two worship albums they had were Strong Tower and It Is Well.

from 2;15 to about 2;25 that riff sounds very similar to a very popular band from the 90s. nos some of the people who only listen to christian music may not get who the riff could be from, but for those who have listened to some of the grunge bands in the 90s they would probably recognize it. So I know artists can get some thought or inspiration from other artists or groups as well.
Know it reminds me of some song... Aaaah, can't think of it. Am intrigued now...

+Christ's Soldier yes Kutless is a Christian rock band, I believe many are under the same label or at least tooth and nail are Christian bands such as Nine lashes, Underoath and demon hunter (solid state is a label under tooth and nail) Tooth and Nail was originally a Christian label but I do not know if BEC is so I cannot tell you all of the music under their labels are Christian for sure, but it is a good guess

Kutless coming out with albums consistently, not sure if the quality is the same. The turnover in Christian bands is quite significant.
