  • I don't think I've ever heard this tune before! Its a wild cross-tuned adventure from New Brunswick fiddler Oscar "Joe" Robichaud, the one responsible for "Moccasin Shuffle". (I said Larry Riendeau in the video, but that turned out to be wrong) "Le Pied du Mouton" comes from a field recording of Robichaud in 1975 by Mark Wilson and Frank Ferrell. They say he's playing a fiddle tuned AEAC#, but I'm pretty sure it's tuned ADAD, so that's how I'm playing it. SUPER fun tune, but a bit tricky to find how it lies on the fiddle if you're not used to this cross tuning (I'm not). But hard to stop playing!

You are a good player, but this tune is awfully repetitive, trying my patience. Sorry.
