Strictly speaking, her "black" father, who is a light-skinned but obviously black man, probably also had some white ancestors. Black people in America usually have some white admixture within the last 5 or 6 generations, and many more recently. You can never be certain how genetic inheritance will express itself. In Halsey's case, she looks surprisingly fair, but some of that may be affected by her coloring her hair, especially blonde -- and, of course, she may have inherited more than 50 percent from her mother's side and may have inherited more"white" characteristics from her father's side.

People were just people. Great place for growing up mixed. Only after leaving Bim, I really discover what blackness, or race in general, is.

@BlkMagickGaia3 LOL I don't understand the logic behind putting Logic on this list if his father is half white and his mother's white. In my opinion, that would make him white with some black ancestry in him. But it most definitely wouldn't make him black.
I am always amazed about genetics ... my sister came out fair, then my brother came out dark and me and my other brother came out brown. My dad is dark and my mom is brown. So generally in my house we generally don't care what a person looks like. It's whether you are good person that matters. Plus my island is multiethnic with tonnes of different cultures. We tend to appreciate a persons uniqueness rather than their differences... Putting people in categories makes no sense when there is so much mixing going on...
The ones I didn't know were the celebrities I didn't know. The one who was an internet star and the rapper guy. Everyone else I already knew, including Miss Japan-Universe. She's stunning.

Someone is telling these people lies. I believe that at least 98% of everyone knew these are mixed race individuals. Difference is we accept them for who they are and don't mention race as there's no reason to. Obviously the ones who talked about struggles growing up should realize all those harassing them know they are mixed race. Just accept most all people accept others for themselves and race is not a deciding issue, only the quality of the person.

It’s interesting how some people try to racially classify black people. The first thing to realize is that black people are the first and original people, and All races have black roots that come from black people.
There's no such thing as race. Race is a social construct created by the Europeans. Just because I looked like you doesn't mean I'm you. Everyone's an individual.

Great video but if you wanna be successful, you most take responsibility for your emotions, not place the blame on others. In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life, Successful people don't become that way overnight. most people see at a glance-wealth, a great career, purpose-is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life too 🙏🙏🙏
Starting early is the best way of getting ahead to build wealth, investing remains a priority. I learnt from my last year's experience, i am able to build a suitable life because I invested early ahead this time.
Yeah investment is the key to sustaining your financial longevity but venturing into any legitimate investment without a proper guidance of an expert can lead to greater loss too

I think, by default, the kind of people who watch this channel will also be pretty good at guessing that people have black roots. But there are certain groups of people that have mistaken each and every one of these. Not even just for white, but also Asian or indigenous mixes, etc. My exceptions would be Zhong FeiFei and Ariana Miyamoto because East Asia is so attached to Asianness, that there is no way for them to do anything without it coming up that they are black. I remember when Ariana won the pageant all the headlines were like, “Japan crowns half-black Miss Universe.” So you could not NOT know.
I like dwayne's answer, he says he identifies as both equally. As you should, you can't call mixed people black, when they're only part or half. I don't care about the "one drop rule" And that''s just my opinion, I'll call them what they are, unless they ask otherwise.

Some of these ladies mentioned here such as Zoe, Zendaya and Ariana are gorgeous. And way underrated and should be mentioned among the Beautiful Celebrity Ladies on the planet.
I am not shocked. Living in the French West Indies, I am used to see mixed race people as they represent an important minority in the population. So it is easy to notice when someone has African ancestry
I remember when I found out that Halsey was black. I had no idea as she looks 100% white. I knew about everyone else and there are many more who aren't on this list. Thanks for the video!

DNA is not done like a magical measuring cup. No even percentages. We are all mixed and some surprisingly more than we thought! And some less. My grandmother 1/4 Taino My mom is 1/2 Taino. My dad a drop. Great great great grandparents 1/16 I did the test and I’m 8%. Go figure. Remember there is always other bloodlines within us. Not very many ppl are 💯
Quick question: I look like Halsey but come from a long line of people of colour. Which most is light skinned(like Selena and Camilla Cabello light skinned) . My grandparents are isiXhosa( African) does all this factors make me black? Even though I "look like" Halsey( hair texture and all)? I need wordly perspective pls
The color of your skin, hair texture, eye color, etc doesn't really matter because Black people come in all shades, hair textures, eye colors, etc. And having direct roots to Africa makes you even more "Black" in my opinion. When I say Black, I mean African and in a positive way always.
Pretty good list ! Let’s see you do a video on people who are African-American and Native American because that’s something that people don’t talk about that some African-Americans actually do have Native American blood like my niece does she’s African-American with 3/3 of Native American and you can literally tell when she smiles that she has some Native American ancestry it’s just the way that she smell with those hot cheekbones now what nationality do you consider high cheekbones associated with Native American literally her hair grows pretty quick !

Exactly
According to the Bible we all come from Adam and Eve and we don't know what color they were. No need to speculate.
@@lettiegrant9447
No no need to speculate, but the BIBLE provides a strong suggestion that the first home (Eden) of Adam and Eve was centered in Africa where black People originate from:
Genesis 2:13
And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.
Adam and Eve were, no doubt, dark-skinned, like Africans. ALL humans are their offsprings; even evolutionary science teaches this.

Yeah ,unfortunately, the modern world was built by racist and we still have traces of that.blackness has always been shunned we can come and talk about shades of this and that people that but the truth is dark skinned black men and women i trying rebuild thier self asteem in a world obsessed with European standards of what beauty is and intelligent. At the end of the day the world judges u for what u pass for.if u are generally black or African looking u ,the world becomes a difficult place to live but we are working hard ,we are getting there.but dont kid ourselves colorism and racism all over world is still alive and well.certain races always tend to behave wen they are being outnumbered by pple of African descent ,but wen u go to thier countries they restrict black pple.

The color of your skin, hair texture, eye color, etc doesn't really matter because Black people come in all shades, hair textures, eye colors, etc. And having direct roots to Africa makes you even more "Black" in my opinion. When I say Black, I mean African and in a positive way always.
