Haven't been to Solvang since 1990, nice to see it is thriving now! Definitely need to plan a trip back up there, thanks for sharing Foo!

You’re welcome!! Yes, it’s really thriving, they’ve consistently beaten their previous year’s number of visitors. I really do love visiting it, one of my favorite coffee sips, “Good Seed Coffee” is there.

Great travelogue, Foo!! Even though I live less than 40 miles north of Solvang, and have driven through the town at least a hundred times, I have never actually visited the place. Maybe this year. Keep on doing these great vids!!

Cool video bro. One day I will make it up there and see it for myself. What exactly is an aebelskiver, and what does it mean?

Thanks bro!! Aebelskiver literally means “apple slices” in Danish, but it’s used to describe these little pancake balls that are sprinkled with powdered sugar and topped with jam. They’re pretty good!!

We loved to stop at Solvang (if time permitted) while going to Pismo Beach to see relatives up there. Lots of nice shops and loved the architecture.
Native Californian who moved many decades ago (job) I fondly remember California when it comes to things like this and the natural beauty of it. Grew up a proud California. (Governments, not so much. Sickened to see how much of the cities have been ruined by politics. Here's hoping Solvang escapes that.)

So far, Solvang seems to be doing pretty well. Each year the number of visitors increases.
