Liam, looking back at all the vids you’ve posted, forget the smartass comments, I think you’ve recorded a period in our history which I find fascinating and we’ll never witness again. Also, watching some of your other vids you’ve got this ability to ‘blend’ in with the proceedings where many would fail miserably thus giving us all access to the true characters behind the larger than life personalities. I realise as you get older how important it is to record life and I’m really pleased you have as some of these guys aren’t with us any longer. Thank you.

That's a really nice comment - i think the whole point of filming people is to find out about them - it's not about me so I've tried to do exactly as you say 'blend in' - hopefully my film stuff is interesting to people & I appreciate you watching cheers

@NYHC1000 Einstein's theories were of great influence to the development of the A bomb. I'm not sure exactly how much damage and devastation Roy Shaw could cause but it's probably not comparable with Hiroshima. Also, it's been said that 2 out of 3 times a Lenny McLean can stop a Roy Shaw but had the Japanese attempted to use McLean to defend Nagasaki the result would have been much the same.

Modern London is so fucked up.
I'd rather it was still dominated by people like this and the Krays, rather than today's moped gangs, foreign mafias, Yardies, and "innit bruv" roadmen (with names like Martell and Dushayne) barely out of short trousers who shoot each other over a 50p drug debt or a stolen bike and don't care about innocent people getting caught in the crossfire.

What I will say is the doorman in question - Lee Chapman is certainly no mug and a very very capable man, Lee was a decent Judo player and also a decent strongman competitor. In his peak he was easily 22 stone , I have heard as much as 27 stone of muscle not fat. Plus I have seen him in action and despite being a unit of a man he was extremely fast . Very hard and very dangerous - slashed the throat of a old mate who turned grass and spoke about it as if it were normal, then again he spent time in Broadmoor. Must be said he wasn't a bully, his actions were against those who lived by the same code. No fear whatsoever, he was wired different to the majority.

McClean's book is biased, full of lies and exaggerated. Roy's is as honest as could be. One seriously hard bastard WITHOUT cheating with steroids to make him bigger and stronger. I am quite a good fighter but would not have a chance in hell against Roy. He was old and slow by the time he fought McClean the 2nd and 3rd times, and McClean was 100% on gear.

That Bouncer in Southend doesn’t realise how lucky he is Roy would have killed him. The thing with Bouncers is they act hard in a group but one on one they shit it as most can’t fight. Big heavy lumps who run out of puff after 30 seconds and beg for mercy as they get a good hiding.

Roy actually downplayed this fight. He took on two doorman, who he managed to keep at distance, and did not flounder,to the point they gave up.When they realised he was still outside, they had another go to try and chase him off. That didnt work either.Whilst Roy, was "aquiring his hammer" they called the police.
Just for the record.Dont judge the doormen by todays standards.Ths were 18 stoners.Huge men. That was Hollywoods nightclub in the 1980s.The lad could fight. One of the most polite, generous blokes youd meet, as I found out 20 years later.

what the fk are you on about??? there were TEN doormen on hollywood EVERY night. it held 2200 for crissakes. so let me fucking correct you !!
he came down with around 12 guys and was blocked by police orders.
we were told to stay inside but as the doors were glass, they kept making pistol actions and calling us out. we ignored the bosses and opened the doors.
so now let me lay it out for you and other fan boys what happened next, and who came flying out that door.
      22st lee chapman[ JUDO OLYMPIAN} 20st rodger berkley, dave redwin 15st, steve luke{pro heavyweight boxer} tony tucker 17st {yes,that one} pierre stAnge 18st
gary mott 17st, andy williams 19st, neville curley 16 st and myself 18st.
how any fool would believe that one man could beat up nine doormen in our prime when he was 50 at the time is beyond my comprehension.
