Hi Troy, this was so impressive! Never knew knots & how to tie them would be how you make a good tarp to keep warm & dry, the stuff you learn , if it was me & would just buy a pop up tent! You have to carry a lot if things around with you as well which i wouldnt have thought about, its not easy being a hobo Troy! Keep playing your beautiful guitar see you soon, stay safe. ❤😊🤪

Love to see how each train rider does things. I follow Gonagain who Shoestring met at Britt. He interviewed three people who each had a different manner of setting up camp. All of them kept it simple but very effective. One person used a Scottish kilt. Like your system--easy up, easy down.😂 Take it easy out there and stay safe. Keep an eye on the weather. Shoestring would have found this year interesting with all the tornadoes and hail.

Yay! Thanks for the demo(s) you taught me stuff. Maybe i should already know some things but wouldn't think about them at first. I will now remember to cut notches on sticks while tying to them. Big hearts. ❤️ and safe travels.

Awesome job. Reminds me of Air Force survival school many years ago. You should do more instruction. You’re good at it! Remember Shoestring.

Dave Canterbury has some knot tying videos. I try to learn a few. I'd like to try tarp camping instead of setting up a tent. But, in Florida I might wake up with a water moccasin or gater sleeping with me. I like to watch bushcrafting/ wilderness survival videos. Who knows what the future will bring. We all might be living in the woods one day. Thanks for the video. Do you get the donations from your website?

Sweet video Troy. Thanks for showing how to tie quick release knots and how to make an effective shelter with a tarp. Need to definitely be efficient in knowing these things so you don't end up burdening yourself with a heavy load.
I love that you are showing things like this. It brings a smile to my face as it reminds me of how Mark would share his knowledge with us. He would be so proud of you. You couldn't have picked a better mentor.
Pretty cool that you said you were a journeyman iron worker. My dad retired from Iron Workers Local 17 and my brother in law belongs to the same local.
Take care and have a good week. Love and respect to you always.
