Champa, a little girl from the village, loved to play and spend time with her mouse, Mini, for which her mother often scolded her. One day, Champa’s mother asked her to bring firewood so that she could cook lunch. Champa went to get the wood but couldn’t find any dry wood. A series of events then occurred, during which Champa discovered the interconnected logic behind the unavailability of dry wood. This journey led her to meet various entities: the woods, grasses, sun, clouds, an elephant, a snake, the pond owner, a mouse, a parrot, and even the queen of Vijayanagar. Throughout these events, everything started talking to her, explaining their problems. Finally, Champa concluded that it was because of a handful of grain blocking the sunlight that the woods were not drying out. Later, she finds out that she dreamed that she went on this adventurous journey but she learns a lesson.
