A free alternative that works well too though it doesn't have a full texture library capability but is fantastic for models, HDRI, and PBR materials is Connecter by Design Connected.
yes it does textures / materials management very well. Idk if u really tryed it or u just red some old google posts from 2018 where ppl complained about the materials future in the version back then. The present version of Connector now just blows ur mind
Good!! ... but can you explain how to see just Textures or PBR Materials... without model... how to show Textures in Shader Ball with the Project Manager. Thanks.
You can create PBR materials from bitmaps or Substance files by simply dragging bitmaps or SBSAR files directly into 3ds Max. Onto objects or material editor ruclips.net/video/_xoBdP7mNQc/видео.html ruclips.net/video/6ZbKHNzbZx0/видео.html
If 2 different model have the same texture name and same map folder then how to solve this. Because if I replace then any model has to lose its real texture!
Hi there, thanks for this video. Do you know if K-Studio Project Manager will work for a team of 3? All three working from different locations? Preferably something cloud-based? I read about the MySQL thing on the K-Studion site, but that is still on a local server I believe. We are looking for something remote that we can all access. Would appreciate any and all input, also from the community thanks in advance, Mac
Hi. Lovely video, thank you very much! I have just one question if you can, please, answer: Do you also copy (and link) textures into the project folder or do they remain in the "maps" folder?
When I start a new project I like to have all the textures for that project in that projects materials folder. Dos this plugin always link to your library or can it copy assets to the project folder?
Thanks 😊 I have a question please I wonder if the "maps" file in the "table" folder makes the models automatically link there maps to it .. so there is no need to relink them .. is that so? Like how the picture links to the model automatically by naming them the same name. Thanks again
I wonder how does it work with cloud folders like Google Drive stream? Anybody knows? I have to access my scenes and continue to work on them on multiple computers and I use Google Drive and manually manage my assets.
That's a lot of work to organize folders, names, structure, thumbnails, textures with all the problems with plugins and directory loses. Its not worth it if you have thousands and thousands of 3d models and textures. Make sense only for big companies with centralized server systems when work is done by teams of cg artists. Someone always have to organize and manage the library. If you work alone, just use Windows explorer with thumbnails and drag and drop models into open max file. Or open several max files and use between them.
I haven't really noticed anything like this, always worked great. Crashed 3ds max a couple of times when I imported too complex models but that's it for me ;)
What plugin do you use for organizing your models and materials in 3ds max? 😀
Connecter from designconnected - also great tool
@@John182blink4ever Awesome, thanks for sharing!
None. Now I'll use project manager 😁
@prasanth G Awesome!!! ;)
@@John182blink4ever you forgott to say Ava that Connecter is also FREE ...unlike Projekt Manager that is around 60 euros or som' like that
Thank you! For me, Project manager it's easier and better than Connector software.

Can you please make a video about floor genarator and materials texture loader plugins. It'll be very useful
I'll think about video like this ;)
Thanks for the effort :)
could you please explain how you added the HDRI tap to the left-side toolbar in Project manager?
thanks in advance
Kindly share the structural organization of each folder, thanks!
How was this HDRI category added? It doesn't show up on mine, thanks.
A free alternative that works well too though it doesn't have a full texture library capability but is fantastic for models, HDRI, and PBR materials is Connecter by Design Connected.
Sure, there are other alternatives as well 😉Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Is that possible to share our entire tree organization?

Thanks for your great review. This review for the 2nd version. 3rd version is more powerful and has a lot of new features
Thank you for watching :) The plugin is great!
Hi , if you place the maps folder in each categories and some models uses same texture, you'll have to keep 2, 3 or 4 copies of it?
how did you solve this issue
Hi BB can you please show us how to work over a network like sharing files and projects so that you can be able to access them over the Network!
THNKS
You're welcome! :)

Thank you, I'm really happy when I receive such a feedback!
How we can link textures? it doens't work with the folder Maps
Great video

Thanks for sharing :)

Hi. Lovely video, thank you very much! I have just one question if you can, please, answer:

Same question! How do you manage it?
Leaving the textures in the maps folder helps avoid redundancy. Some of my friends work this way.
When I start a new project I like to have all the textures for that project in that projects materials folder. Dos this plugin always link to your library or can it copy assets to the project folder?
I do the same! The problem is the size of the folder.. do you have the same problem?
Great
Una pregunta como elimino na carpeta sin que se elimine de mi disco duro?
Where can i download this plugin?
Thanks 😊
I have a question please

As you link it once, later it will link everything automatically ;)
I wonder how does it work with cloud folders like Google Drive stream? Anybody knows?
I have to access my scenes and continue to work on them on multiple computers and I use Google Drive and manually manage my assets.
What about the Autodesk Asset Library Tool? Is it that bad?
yes it is bad. You can use it in certain cases if you have few models or a lot of time on your hands :)
Nice video!! You have a great youtube channel !! Greetings 🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖🖖
