I liked this one a lot, had some really fantastic stories. Short story collections can definitely be hit or miss, I’m always pleasantly surprised when I read one where I like most of the stories.☺️📚
King never disappoints. He also must have a thing for creepy dogs in another of his stories, Gerald's Game. That story also has a dog who ends up chewing on someone like the one you discussed. Lots of dream sequences too. If you havent seen the film of it I highly reccomend it.
YAY! I've been looking forwards to this review, Syn ❤ DCBD also kept me up too! I couldn't go to sleep till I finished it - def my fav of the collection as well. It was 150 pages. My other favs were Rattlesnakes (references to the trauma from Cujo, Duma Key and felt a lot like a tribute to the Log Lady from Twin Peaks) and The Answer Man which felt a little bit like Gwendy's a Button Box. I'd love to know more about what The Dreamers were dreaming of - SO Lovecraftian, you're right!
Maybe The Dreamers were dreaming about becoming Cthulhu or Cthulhu was trying to wake from his slumber and trying to escape or take over these dreamers. This book was great! So many fantastic stories. Short story books can be hit or miss with me, this one was definitely a hit.☺️📚
Great video. I’ve just finished this collection except for Danny’s Bad Dream (left til last as longest) but in answer to Who is the Answer Man, I believe he’s the man in black 😎👍🏻
Currently reading it. Not a fan of short stories but I read the ones from my fave authors and as long as it's horror. Not done with the first story yet. (I'm a slooooow reader).😅
I feel that, short stories are hit or miss with me a lot of times. I do like to read them from time to time and I also mainly stick to horror. There’s some really good ones in here. That first one is super weird, I loved it.☺️📚
I'm usually hit or miss with these types of collections... but you are making me excited to read it 🤗

@@SynsBookNook or maybe they were in Unknown Kadarth?
@@sandrabaulch could be, it definitely had the Lovecraft vibe.☺️

Thank you ☺️📚Holy crap! He’s totally the Man In Black! I didn’t even think about that.

He is such a amazing author I’m a lover but a sequel to cujo of course I’m going to read it regredless of the rattlesnakes
It’s a fantastic collection of his stories, hope you enjoy!☺️📚
This was the first Stephen King book that I did not like at all.
Have you liked his other books of short stories? I used to hate reading short story collections but they’ve grown on me over the years.
@@SynsBookNook Yes I did.
