Not really; In America, we have inequality of outcome because we have freedom of opportunity. In the LDCs, they are incredibly inequal because they are incredibly poor with their politicians holding essentially all of the wealth in spite of any freedom.
@@BobbyKat101 Yes, of course, but it is possible to have freedom of opportunity and low inequalities in the same time.
Plus freedom of opportunity doesn't mean equality in opportunities, it is still much easier if you are born in a rich family. And as the American society mostly value people on their net worth, it means the system is biased, it was meaningful only when most people were settlers with almost nothing.
This lead to a society valuating people on their net worth only instead of the whole person, with a low general knowledge and a terrible life expectancy

@@ASHERUISE Funny, but definitely not true. The idea of the third world has been created precisely to disntinguish countries that were not sided with US or USSR during the cold war.
The term "third world" is outdated. Bill Gates came up with Levels 1-4 and the United Nations, World Bank and World Court will no longer use the term "3rd World" and its now EMERGING ECONOMIES. Also America is a Continent. Citizens of the United States are U.S. Americans and/or United Statians because everyone on the American Continent from Argentinians to Mexicans to Canadians are all Americans just as the English, Spanish and French are all Europeans.

3. Money affects if Income Equality is a good or bad thing. If everybody is poor it's not really that good, now is it? Sure, the U.S.A is pretty high up on the list, but that's not essentially this horrible thing when you start looking at how much money the worker gets and how much he has to spend.

Many times, inequality is direct related with each one choices.. When there is someone drinking, smoking and having fun, there is another one studying and working real hard.
Of course the most unequal country is South Africa. Only in a city like Johannesburg can you drive for 20 minutes and go from 3rd world tin shacks with open sewers to gated mega mansions that match anything seen in the west. Even in Soweto, which is simultaneously seen as dangerously crime ridden and as the centre of the anti-apartheid struggle, you can find middle class housing that's within walking distance of the 'temporary' shacks
