In the middle of school i had an idea for a new rollercoaster element. it was pretty much the same tophat you put on this and i named it the "lightbulb tophat"
I had a similar idea once of a top hat with a beyond vertical ascent and drop. This though is common. Inswear someone is going to build it eventually in real life
@@CoasterKey I feel like it would cause a lot of stress on the tracks, and probably wouldnt be very comfortable, not sure. im not even into coasters anymore and i cant really remember much of my knowledge
Love that top hat! The next new element I think should be done is a literal figure 8 loop! It goes up into a half loop, twist up and do a very tight loop, then twist back down through another half loop! Would be hard but I think it can be done!
had the idea lately for something like an aeronautics cuban 8, except the second "loop" rolls so that the top of the loop is noninverting. the track would form a figure 8/bowtie look.
I think it might make more sense to laterally offset the vertical segments of the tophat; Wouldn't need that weird custom track piece on the uphill side
Forces are totaly fine : Vertical Gs between +3.5g and -1.6g (except right after the launch, we hit +4g on the way up), no jerk. That's on par with real life models stats. Lateral max 0.6g (on outside seats obviously) except 2 part being the roll at 1:45 and the direction change at 2:01 being too quick for a 4 row train, they peak at 1g lateral for few milliseconds (and no jerk either so it's fine), which is not a lot either and is even a smoother than many real life models. Either way any G changes is being done in a sinusoidal way, over a decent amount of time to avoid any jerk or uncomfortable behavior. The coaster is downloadable in the description anyway so you can check for yourself. Also I can't slow the launch more, else you lose the airtime and I dont want that, the feeling of a continuous 3s+ Ejector (-1.6g) => Floater (-0.3g) => Ejector (-1.4g) airtime is what I'm aiming for and it's what make a tophat an even greater element. Futhermore it's already going very slow at the top, slow enough that ingame FPS drop during launch is enough to make it rollback.
@@timokho20 most Gerstlauer tophat peak arround -1.5g (for exemple Anubis @ Plopsaland). It sounds a lot but it's a very short peak and it's necessary when you build tiny vertical tophats (it's during the pull in/out of the verticals, not at the top). Mine climb and drop over 90° so it's a tiny bit longer ejector on entrance and exit but overall the same.
Great ride. Not sure they'd have an inversion going into a midcourse, just feels like something you wouldn't do, amazing ride though. Then again Cheetah Hunt has a barrel roll into midcourse. Love that element. Would give wicked airtime up and down.
Amazing layout! I really love how it rolls right into the mid course brakes.
i had the same idea for that top hat element, im happy to see it exist.
Yeah same I put it in my infinity coaster in plan co

I had one in the pipeline I dubbed the bowling pin

@@Swatta1 As long as ride forces are within certain boundaries I think it can work with the right track and supports!
YES! SOMEONE FINALLY MADE MY FAVOURITE IDEA, A BEYOND VERTICAL TOP HAT!
The pacing, speed, and intensity are good. Too good. This is like sending a coaster thorough a layout 20 MPH faster than intended.
What da hell is this top hat x) it's really cool, the coaster lokks good
love the elements, especially the first top hat and the flip up into the first brake run. Feels like an evolved and improved Eurofighter.
You are hired! You start tomorrow here at Gerstlauer ! Awesome job.
I wish
Wow this looks good
I feel like the lightbulb element would give some intense ejector then floater then some more ejector. The feeling would be crazy, I love it!
Nice layout, very smooth
4/5 👌
I’ve always wanted to see a top hat like that!
Lovely layout! Very very well made and super innovative. I love it!
People see that and say what is that
All I’m thinking is how much airtime could I get on that thing
Ive always wondered when we will reach a “beyond vertical _ascent_ ”

That top hat is insane!
I think you said what we were all thinking with that beyond vertical top hat
What are the g-force profiles on the top hat and those amazing outward-banking inversions at 0:15?
That looks like a ride in my dream park
Crazy smooth man!
This is a Gerstlauer. U need more useless supports😂. Amazing coaster BTW
I think it might make more sense to laterally offset the vertical segments of the tophat; Wouldn't need that weird custom track piece on the uphill side
we need a name for that tophat. thats unique enough for its own name
Ok this is super sick
VERY GOOD !!INCREDIBLE!!
this ride looks awesome, im just getting my feet wet with nl2 but i hope to someday be this good
When it went over the top hat
*i felt that*
Fantastic .

slow the launch down slightly so it crawls over the top and its perfect, forces in many parts look quite extreme.

@@ClemAparia Ah okay, it just seemed a bit much on the top hat, -1.6 is quite extreme but doable. Thank you for your explanation.

AMAZING
Innovative
This top hat looks so cursed
This ride would be good at Alton towers if they find the right spot
kirb Gaming its pretty tall remember it has to stay below the tree hight
@@MattyPlays06 they could built it under ground like phantasialand did with taron
Sheeeeeessshhhhhh
Are these all coasters that are going to be built/are built
I would ride that :O
Looks like an intamin lmao
You should add some trim brakes to make it more realistic lol.
Yeah, all fine he- I'm sorry, what the hell 0:10?
