She possessed one of the most beautiful lyric soprano voices that I have ever heard. I never tire of hearing her sing ANYTHING. In the 1990's I saw her and Frank Lopardo in La Fille Du Regiment, and both of whom were wonderful.

It was a racist action on the part of the Met, and I suspect that the racism there is no better today than it was then. The Met apparently has made a deliberate effort to remain white. It will take a concerted effort for the Met, its staff, musicians, and performers to even begin to reflect the same racial percentage as our Nation. I suspect that the Met would rather become obsolete than become truly integrated.
