I love re-watching the ST videos. One day I'll have my ST
I just picked up a 2018 one with 22k miles on it went from a 2011 ss to this thing and we'll I wouldn't look back but for the burnouts. Other then that it keeps up with the other camaro ss around here actually would have pulled on one with more room on the road.
Should be noted that the motorcraft FL-400S filter is being used allowing it to be filled to 6qts. The regular filter FL-910S has a capacity to fill the engine up to 5.7qts. Don’t get them mixed up and drown your engine.
Ayyyy I run Motul in my Yamaha MT09. That stuff is amazing!
Great video, thanks! Definitely make sure you fill the oil filter with new oil before installing. It's most important for the safety of your engine.
This whole kit is dope I wish they had something for the speed 3 it’s a ford motor after all I’m sure the engines aren’t much different
I used 5w30 and I eptied mine yesterday and did full oil change. I stopped it up by a quart aprox 1 month ago to be safe as I could.get the tools to change oil. Ot wasnt sludge so was alright. Anyway I eptied it yesterday and ran half a liter through to refrain and flush system and all together aprox 5.5l came out. I then proceeded to pour in the recommended amount 5.3l and run idle for 30s and checked oil 5 mins later and was between the correct amount. I will add this was measured on an even surface. I then installed my torque mount and new pads so 3 hours later and drove home... I remeassured again on a slightly un even side to side surface that being the camber of the road and the oil was way high this time... like half an inch above the top dot. At this point I didnt have access to axle stands and a jack so just had to leave it till I have access but now I'm worried. I drive about 50miles a day. And cant get a ramp till nexr week. My oil pressure gauge is completely fine and barely touches 4bar oil pressure when warmed at 70c+ and at full throttle.theough a few gears. So I assume it is alright?
Pennzoil Ultra Platinum is the best oil for the money. Been putting it in my ST for two years now. There’s a great comparison video on RUclips.
Delta 9 not really. It’s a really thin 30 weight. Prone to leakage. M1 EP is where it’s at.
I use penzoil also think it’s an amazing oil.
15mm thats the info i need thank you
Great video as always man, keep it up!
The next time you do an oil change, fill the oil filter with oil before fitting. The reason behind this is on start up there will be a delay for the oil reaches any part of the engine, because the oil filter has to fill up first.
No you dont want to do this because youre adding unfiltered oil as "primer" when the pump actually pulls oil during cranking so when the engine fires off the pump has primed clean filtered oil.
@@MichaelJohnson-uo3efNew oil is pure clean bro, its not necessarily that it goes through filter first.
Don't use Motul it has bad heat resistance you're going to need to keep close track of your oil level and end up using more oil over a 7,500 mile OCI. You can find a lot of good alternatives.
Which is more fun to drive/easier to mod, a Focus ST or a 370z?
Jt Fox I would say the st would be faster when modded but because it’s turbocharged more things can fail I love the 350/370’s because they are rwd not fwd so you can go sideways also coupes are always more fun to drive even if it’s slow
Can anyone answer what would make this brand the “highest grade” vs another brand’s top performance oil? I’m just curious what makes this oil so different since he doesn’t go into much detail.
Not sure what makes it the best he could be getting that stuff for free so he’s probably just pushing their product , but royal purple is my go to and filling the the filter before putting the new one on is a good move , always check spark plug gap even if it comes pre gapped.
You've never filled the new oil filter with fresh oil before throwing it on?
Diego Tobar why would you need to if it’s not a diesel motor I’m guessing for the split second it starts up dry
Diego Tobar I would.
When are you doing a Transmission Fluid change?
Hey Cameron, I challenge you to try liqui moly molygen 5-30. It's great and you can physichally feel the car idle smoother.
great informative video. thanks man!
I love motul oil! I also use Lucas oil stabilizer in my Z. HKS filters too which are kinda hard to find
What do you think about amsoil
Just changed mine last night... Running silky smooth 😁
Im thinking about buying a ST....any advices?
Watch out for mods. Pressure the dealer or seller you go to to inform you of any and all modifications or tunes.
@@amihere383 Thanks man, i already got it !
@@hirayaman246 Badass! How do you like it? I just bought one 2 weeks ago, so far it's been fantastic
@@amihere383 yes, it pulls very good and its also confortable....just 2200 km here, still dont push harder than 3000-3500 rpm to allow the engine to settle a little more....
Got it in wagon version, for extra cargo space and also with a factory engine soft upgrade for 330 hp ( predator version)
@@hirayaman246 Damn, you Euro folks get all the options. All we got here in the states was the hatchback until 2015 when they started adding a few trims, the ST2 and ST3 packages. There aren't even any factory performance upgrades you can get unless you go through Ford Performance, which is still a separate deal after buying the car, and it only adds 90 torque, no hp. But definitely agree, I got mine used with a cobb exhaust, it pulls so quick, sounds fantastic, corners like it's on rails, I love it
I can't find any videos for coolant change/flush for FoST, any chance that you can make a vid in the future? thanks
“Ford Focus Fiesta” lmaooo
Second com. Also, can you post a link for the oil pan?
Guys, don't buy into all the hype and marketing. Just change your oil every 5,000 miles (or sooner if you wish) and use an off-the-shelf oil that is API-certified and the correct weight for your engine. I've been running Super Tech full synthetic and an OEM Motorcraft filter for years and have gotten over 300,000 trouble-free miles on my Ford Focus and Explorer. The last Blackstone oil report on my 4.6L Explorer was "flawless" (their words, not mine). The key is to do those oil changes regularly, especially on these turbocharged motors. Don't buy into all the hype and marketing from these "performance" oils.
ST or base model ? you kept whole car stock and got 300k?
@@Jackson-xm6xb no, it wasn't an ST. It was the ZX3 "mid grade" model with the duratec 2.3L motor.
you forgot to fill up the oil filter with oil
Wanting to buy this package deal , but oil is out of stock
I need to learn how to change my own oil because I don't trust people doing it for me
Need some hood struts
Jeez 2 mins till it’s actually started
I ordered this same kit from Panda motor works and they did me dirty, literally took like three months to get it and not everything was sent the first time around. After hassling them numerous times they finally sent me the rest of the kit, and it still wasn’t the whole kit. Never purchasing anything from them again.
Bought some head lights for my FoST from them and it took 8 months… I gave up and asked for a return. Was quite the hassle just to get a return pretty ridiculous for how much they get “great” reviews.
Would this work for the SE model?
How many liter man??
Can you run this on a fully built ford focus with 85000 miles?
I’d recommend it. Motul classifies themselves as “high performance” oil. I’ve never had a problem in my Z but I’m not modded to be fair
You need to get the LSD!!!!!!!
You didn’t pre fill the oil filter!!!
cheap oil twice as often... for me
Vice grips* not plyers sonny boy
Channel locks boi 😜
@@dougwatson2816 regardless pretty sure you don't use pliers, vice grips, or channel locks to remove an oil filter...
First com
Amsoil is better
