Massive shoutout to Kelly Maxwell. In a year where OU superstar pitcher Jordy Ball and other key pitchers leaving she had to come in and become the ace at the biggest program in softball after leaving OSU. So much pressure for her but man has she had some great games these playoffs and really might be the biggest difference maker for OU. I’m very curious if OU has a chance to close the series tomorrow if Maxwell comes in relief to try to close the game out despite all the pitches she’s thrown of the last two games. I do think this does go three games though very much expect the Texas bats to be way more successful tomorrow.

OU, 1-9 pound the ball, and it makes a whole different sound than other teams….including Texas. 4-peat makes this team, and these Seniors (including the last 3 yrs that graduated ) the GOAT, in Women’s College Softball history. Patty Gasso rules College Softball.
Can we just take a second and appreciate the greatness we are witnessing. It is really incredible what Patty Gasso and OU has done, especially this senior class. Jennings and Coleman are both 4 time All-Americans. Hanson is a multi-year All-American. Four of the 15 recent pro softball draftees were Sooners, and this is not even OU’s most dominant team. Players like Jocelyn Erickson (SEC POY) transferred out from OU just to see the field more (in Erickson’s case, at her preferred position of catcher). And OU has done it with different pitchers different years. Some one always comes through. Then there are the big bats - Lauren Chamberlai, Jocelyn Alo, and Tiare Jennings. Oklahoma hit their home runs when they needed to and Texas got off to a very rocky start… Kudos out to the Sooners in game 1. Texas is coaching staff needs to realize that their pitchers need to make sure they throw first pitch strikes because the Oklahoma softball team will not swing at any pitch until you have a cold first strike on them that happens over 98% of the time it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out you must throw early strikes to them because they’re going to look at one before they ever attempt to swing, and Texas needs to start hitting the ball,as they have done all season…

You might be right. But this where experience comes in hand as well. Just like with the 3 championships before, OU knows after winning the first game. They're going to get the opposing team best in the second game. They've prepared for that before. So it's nothing new for them to be in that situation. Nothing they can't handle.
This series has to be one of the worst sportscasts that ESPN has ever done. The only time that i have witnessed something this biased and obe-sided was when the network gets their tongue stuck in the hinny of Jerry Jones. it's as if any of those gals with the mics are all staying over at the OK coach's house for a big scissor sleepover. This has nothing to do with the scores or results; the production slant was evident before a ball was ever thrown & it's 9nly gotten worse. Sad
@BrunoGonzales-yv9vu The OU coach said in a national interview with Holly Rowe before the game about letting her make 800 pitches. I guess as long as OU wins a championship, things like the health of their athletes doesn't matter.
@@Kelly_HornsUp, so I take it you’ve been counting how many pitches she’s thrown, because you heard an exaggerated number by Coach Gasso? Question? We’re you this concerned for Lisa Fernandez, Amanda Scarborough, Michelle Smith,Monica Abbot, Jessica Garcia and last but not least Cat Osterman? Or is it just now that you are pretending to be concerned because Maxwell shut down your texas lineup?
It just seems like some Texas fans find any reason not to like OU. I mean you could also complain about Rockroth from Florida pitching something around 283 pitches in a 24 hour period but I didn’t see anything about that. These girls want the ball, it’s their dream, let’s not make up stories about the staff “using them without mercy” like they don’t care about these girls
College softball SO WEAK this year! The pitching and defense across the board since the season started has been substandard for this level. And the mental errors at this level this year is atrocious! Fielders don't know where to go with the ball?, base runners seem lost?. Was excited when the season started, not so much now. Hope it is better next year?.
Why because OKC was willing to make the effort to help women's softball when nobody else would. It was never a issue before until we became dominant then you all anti OU fans had issues with it. You don't like it maybe those other teams should do something about as In beat us. But uh Oklahoma St does the same thing and nobody has a issue with that tho right?
I did not see Texas turning home-field advantage down for either the regionals or the super regionals. In fact, six of the eight teams, reaching the WCWS had home-field advantage in both the regionals and super regionals. Maybe they shouldn’t be playing in Oklahoma City either.
@@bradleycarroll8187 the city of Oklahoma City has spent approximately $70 million on the stadium complex which seats approximately 13,000 fans. The complex also has three practice fields. All four fields are used throughout the season for girls softball. If another city wants to make that type of investment feel free to do so. I’m sure Oklahoma City will be able to compete with whoever decides to build another facility. Oh, and don’t forget the infrastructure necessary to host a women’s college World Series - you know, airport, facilities, hotels, restaurants, etc..
Kinda is considered a home field advantage, think about it. Norman is 30 minutes from Oklahoma City, Austin is 5 hours away from okc. That’s how in my opinion, I think it’s considered a home field advantage

You might be right. But this where experience comes in hand as well. Just like with the 3 championships before, OU knows after winning the first game. They're going to get the opposing team best in the second game. They've prepared for that before. So it's nothing new for them to be in that situation. Nothing they can't handle.
Same old Texas!
did the upside down horns think they were going to win?
Didn’t know I liked softball until I saw all that gyatt action. 😂
Gyatt????
🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
OKLAHOMA HAVE STRONGER HITTERS
Remember, it’s just another game Texass. 😂😂😂
Excelente juego.
Boomer Sooner til the day I die.
Sad
Yeah thats it the announcers are what cost texas the game!! And probably the other 3 games we beat texas this year??
Hopefully Maxwell arm suffers no long-term damage. She has been used without mercy by OU staff.
So you being a texas fan, have been following her one year OU career? And are now concerned for her?
@BrunoGonzales-yv9vu The OU coach said in a national interview with Holly Rowe before the game about letting her make 800 pitches. I guess as long as OU wins a championship, things like the health of their athletes doesn't matter.
@@Kelly_HornsUp, so I take it you’ve been counting how many pitches she’s thrown, because you heard an exaggerated number by Coach Gasso? Question? Are you this concerned for Nijah Cannady from Stanford? How about Keagan Rothrock from Florida?Taylor Tinsley of ucla? And I can go on and on.
@@Kelly_HornsUp , do you have the same concern for these pitchers that Gasso is pitching tonight?
Yes they are very good but it is DISGUSTING how they act. Most unprofessional I must say.
Even a blind hog finds an acorn once In while right Texas. 😅
Ou trained by a male pitching a fastball so when it comes to a softball pitch it ain't nothing.
How boring is this Oklahoma winning in their home park again how fair is that? Going to always have the home field advantage!
FYI, home park is Love’s Field.
Too many replays of the same plays make this video too long when you just want the highlights.
Matt: Ignore that one.
Just know if they 4 peat, Drug Test Coming soon! “YESSSSSSIIIRRRRRR!!!” 😂😂😂
This moron again 😂
Your comment would backfire on you because it would be a compliment to them lol
Spoken like a true texan. hahahahaha what the hell.. hahahahaha
Bring on the drug test, Now is just fine. Patty would not allow them to use drugs, and they would not use drugs out of respect for her get a clue. There is almost like a familial Love between Patty and her players.
Sorry you’re addicted and having to be tested just because we won!
Boomer!
Why does the Oklahoma girls give everyone a wedgie when they hit a home run
Regardless of whether my Texas Longhorns wins the World Series or not they are still the best team in softball
They’re a great team, but how can you say they’re the best if they lose to Oklahoma in the WS? It’s a genuine question not trying to be rude but wouldn’t Oklahoma be the best?
Typical Longhorn fan response oh if we lose we are still better
Yes Oklahoma doesn’t want to beat 2nd stringers.
@@bradleycarroll8187It’s typically insane. Not able to comprehend reality.?😅
They are a great team , the worst thing that happened to them is that Jada Coleman hit HOMERUN to beat Florida
I'll save everyone some time. Texas wins 2 games to 1.
You psychic?
Odds are way against that now.
😂😂😂
I disagree. Texas might win Game #2 but I have faith OU will win Game #2 or Game #3 #BoomerSooner
You said they'd win 2 games to 0 on the other video.
Jordy who?
Don’t do that, she help Ou out last year to the title.
BOOMERS
Shit little league field short bases what are we watching
Women's ball is not watchable anymore! Too many bloopers that go for home runs. Too many classless athletes getting excited over base hits & Ks.
These girls just don't realize just how much Oklahoma loves them..
Hell yeah, this is the best comm on here. BOOMER
There's no fans like sooner Nation, I'm sure you agree also @@THarjo-ks6pf
Not just Oklahoma!!!
